As a 35-year-old man, I had always assumed a personal trainer would be a waste of money for me, because I could figure out a gym, right? Turns out making meaningful progress on your body is more than just being able to follow the diagrams on machines!
Rick's approach is very personalized - he will push you every workout, but is very careful to prevent any discomfort or injury by focusing on proper form. He's motivating without being aggressive, and rounds out the physical fitness with good nutritional advice. The facilities are very clean, and you don't have to worry about competing with anyone else to get the most out of your workout.
I've tried "getting in shape" many times before, and luckily my genetics have made it not impossible to lose weight and tone up some. But with Rick, I can see and feel my body really changing, and in only a couple of months' time!
