My husband and I are seniors who have done Pilates with Dana for more than 10 years. We live in Greenwood Village and travel for her expertise. We have appreciated her ability to help keep us flexible and strong, and her use of a variety of Pilates equipment to keep the program interesting and challenging. We are continually grateful to Dana, Brian and the staff for our ability to remain active.
I was a client here and I loved this place so much that I changed my life and became a teacher here! What drew me and kept me coming back was the warm, friendly, and non-judgmental atmosphere at this studio, where all bodies are welcome.
After 3.5 years of living in Denver and having no luck finding a Pilates studio that challenges me, I finally found the Denver Pilates Movement. Dana has opened her studio on Navajo in the Highlands. She is classically trained and has a talented mix of instructors who practice classic Pilates or modern types of Pilates. I am so happy and lucky that Denver Pilates Movement is in my hood! I finally found my Denver Pilates home. If you are particular about your Pilates practice, like I am, this is the place to try. You won't be disappointed!
While in town for work, I popped in midday for an express class with Brain Hunt. He was welcoming and I really enjoyed his cues and adjustments -- he wasn't thrown off by lopsided body. Wish I had more time in town!
My teacher, Mara, has helped me tremendously. She she always knows how to make our session productive; how and when to gently push. I'm sure the other instructors are equally skilled
Dana is the best Pilates instructor I have ever known. Just an extremely thoughtful, capable and patient instructor. I'm nearly 62 years old. I'm not very good at this. But she has been a great source of information, and encouragement.
I initially started pilates almost 15 years ago to help with debilitating lower back pain. I am so grateful for Dana who has helped to keep me pain free for more than 12 years! She works diligently to create a class that works for her clients. Speaking in plain language which helps make the purpose behind the movement make sense. Every instructor I've had at the Pilates Movement has been fabulous - professional, challenging, and attentive. For the past year+, I have regularly attended Amanda's Intermediate Reformer class with great results - she's so keen on challenging us while ensuring our form is correct. I feel so much stronger since I've been going here, and rarely get injuries any more. I highly recommend this studio!
The Pilates Movement is a fabulous studio! Joseph Pilates originally designed the program for rehabilitation but it is a great total body workout! It activates muscles you don't even know you have! The studio is also great for recovering from injuries. My first teacher, Stephanie Parker, coached me through a terrible injury and now she's helping me to rehabilitate. My second teacher (I go two days), Melissa Pottberg, is also great and knows how to work with my injury. The classes are fun and friendly! The owner, Dana, works hard to accommodate your budget and schedule. I highly recommend The Pilates Movement!!!
