A Emanuel

Had a very nice manicure/pedicure (my first!) and my fiance got an excellent massage, BUT even though I was completely clear when I booked our reservations that we had a valid, unexpired gift certificate which stated specifically that gratuity was included, the spa wanted to charge and extra $60 before gratuity for the services, stating that their prices had changed since the certificate was purchased. Mind you, the certificate didn't say $XX value, it said "1 hour massage, manicure, & pedicure with gratuity included". They should have honored the certificate... but if they couldn't bring themselves to be outstanding, they should have at least notified us upfront of the change and resulting charges. Ended up arguing it out and simply leaving good tips for our providers to make sure they didn't get hosed too, but, come on y'all, was it really worth it to you guys to leave a bad impression about how you do business?? Very uncool.
