I've been working out at CrossFit LTP for 3 months now, and here are my key takeaways so far:
1. The facility is impressive, with plenty of space to run 2-3 classes at the same time. Additionally, the equipment is high-quality stuff. No flashy/gimmicky products at this gym. Another sticking point is the upstairs recovery room, which members can use at no extra charge. The infrared sauna and Normatec compression system are fantastic resources to use after a tough workout.
2. Coaches can make or break a gym, and Crossfit LTP employs high-quality trainers. Jason, Bobby, and Justin do a fantastic job getting to know each member and tailoring each workout to fit the needs of the individual. There's never been any pressure to attempt movements/lifts outside of my threshold, and Jason has been exceptionally proficient at scaling workouts to my experience level.
3. The environment is welcoming. The members of CrossFit LTP vary widely in age & ability levels, which is a testament to the culture set by the owners & staff. This has been my first experience with CrossFit, and any intimidation I felt walking in the first day disappeared almost immediately. It's a wonderful little community where all are truly welcome.
4. The classes are challenging & fun, which in turn yield quality results. I feel better after 3 months of training at LTP than years of exercising on my own. They even have a BodPod in the facility to help you track your body composition data, and I've already seen positive tangible results after a relatively short period of time. It's great motivation to keep the positive momentum going!
My advice: Spend the extra 20 bucks per month to take advantage of unlimited classes, the recovery area, and use of the BodPod. It pays for itself almost immediately.
