I love racquetball, that's the only reason I enroll in the YMCA. I take my 2 children to racquetball clinics every Saturday with coach Kim, AND THEY LOVE IT. Please consider the construction of racquetball courts at the new facilities. There's a huge demand of courts. The 7 existing courts get packed regularly.

We absolutely love the aquatics at the Downtown Colorado Springs YMCA! Each individual on the staff goes above and beyond to make sure we have a positive experience. Thank you to each and every one of you!

Excellent swim instruction for my 6 yr old. He's learning at such a fast pace!

Overall this is a nice facility. The staff is also very polite. The reason I gave it two stars is because in the men's locker room there are 5 shower stalls. If I am to be extremely honest all the shower stalls work, but 4 of the shower stalls have a very weak stream of water coming out of them. It is not easy to get shampoo and conditioner out of my hair in these shower stalls. One shower stall does have a very powerful water stream coming out of it. Now there are about 3 open showers that have a very powerful water stream.

i go for the gym. during peak hours its not too bad... sometimes it seems like there are nonguest or promotion days as kids "tour" the equipment leaving weights on every barbell. i shouldnt have to correct them verbally and then put away their baby weight they leave as i go through my routine. place is clean but i wish they would switch to sanitation wipes instead of a shammy and bleach spray bottle. the shammy gets so wet its disgusting. pool is nice but havnt seen an open swim without lanes yet... lanes are great for athlete swimmers but not kids... two lanes would be enough... staff is always courteous.

I have been a member at the YMCA for about 20 years. Recently I decided to cancel my membership as I no longer wish to use the facility. I called to do so and was told that I needed to come there and fill out a form. This is simply bad customer service and a vein attempt to keep charging me $60 a month. So, I asked to speak with a manager because my time is valuable and I cannot take an hour to drive there and back and fill out unnecessary paperwork. I left Dean Halverman a message and he never even returned the call. Ultimately, I blocked their debit with my bank. When will people learn that customer service is key to any organization...

Subsequently, after posting a negative review and leaving him another message, I heard from Dean an he agreed to suspend my membership. I did appreciate this but still feel that this policy should be improved.

I decided the YMCA would be good for my four kids during the winter. I am a single Mom and it was a stretch to pay the fees each month, but the kids love swimming. When I went in to cancel at the end of March they informed me I was one day late to cancel. They need five days notice, not four.

I explained I am a single parent and couldn't afford another month but they said there wasn't anything they could do. So we had the additional month of April. On May first they charged my account again. I called and they reversed the charges.

The fact I was charged again after I expressed my lack of finances and that I was not allowed to cancel when I was a day late shows me this organization cares more about money than ministry.

Overrun with homeless people, mainly single men. When I complained about having to share the locker room with a filthy homeless guy, their answer was "they're members, too". You're either a homeless outreach center or a health club, you can't be both

My 5 yr old went to a "schools out" day here. I picked my daughter up at the park after the front desk told me they "think" they our out there. My daughter was crying because she was so cold. 1. They did not check the temperature before going outside. 2. The children were outside with no coats. I had called later that day to speak with the director, and left a message. I never did get a reply.

I have worked with kids for for 7 yrs. How the hell do you not check the weather and make sure kids have coats on. You can give them the choice of going out with a coat or staying inside.

This place is an absolute joke!

Fitness center in downtown. They have an indoor pool, a few racquetball courts, a basketball court, two multipurpose fitness rooms, a small track, free weights and weight/cardio machines. Entrance is on east side of building in the alley, don't try to enter from Nevada or Bijou!

This is the greatest YMCA that I have had the pleasure of being a member of! I have been teaching here for 16 years and I really appreciate how well put together everything is here. They offer so much support to the community through their superb childcare, sports programs, classes and community outreach. The facilities are kept clean and the staff is very conscientious; they constantly exceed expectations.

Excellent childcare. The women that work there are great and I trust them with my toddler and baby. The facility is not the greatest but they offer a variety of classes and have gotten new equipment recently. The front desk is also wonderful. Thanks for being such a good Y!

An outstanding variety of classes with an outstanding variety of instructors. Easy to find something that fits your workout needs. Also, I just got the best massage I've had in a long time. Thank you Vicki A.

If I could leave a 0 star review I most definitely would. Do not waste your time or give them your money. Awful unhelpful staff. They could have done what I asked/needed. However THEY decided our circumstances "aren't extreme enough". Please save yourself the trouble, and chose another gym.
