When I first contacted Xtreme Altitude, I advised them that my daughter had over a year of gymnastics and was able to do pullovers, back hip circles, mill circles, front and back kick-overs, cartwheel dismounts from the beam, etc. I told them I was looking to enroll her in a class that met once a week for an hour. They told me that they had programs to accomodate this schedule and her abilities. After two weeks in the beginner class, they advised me that she needed to be in a higher level class that met twice a week. However, she would need to stay enrolled in the beginner class to hold that spot. Four weeks later she started in the class they recommended. Turns out, this wasn't right either and the coach said the other girls were nowhere close to her ability level. I spoke with the staff member behind the counter and she advised me that my daughter should be in a team class which would require class four hours a week and a much larger financial commitment. Throughout this seven week process, I spoke with numerous coaches and people behind the counter about which class she actually belonged in. Not once was a placement evaluation completed or even mentioned. In seven weeks, we had three sub coaches. It appears to be a very unorganized gym with poor communication between the staff. When I called to withdraw my daughter, the lady informed me that I had been talking to the wrong people. It's surprising that the people sitting behind the counter after my daughter's class and the numerous coaches I spoke with would be the wrong people. On a positive note, they did allow us to withdraw since they were not able to uphold their commitment to provide her a class at her ability level that met our schedule needs. Unfortunately, it cost us a considerable amount of money to find out they couldn't do what they initially said they could do. Plus, my daughter went though much frustration watching her classmates learning to do front and back rolls.
