Amazing teacher and wonderful community
I found the Iyengar Yoga Center of Boulder on a visit from NYC by accident and so enjoyed Laura's teaching style that I took five classes in three days. Laura, the owner of the studio and the only teacher, is warm and friendly while teaching classes strong in alignment cues and creativity. It's worth it to give this studio a try with an intro class fee of three classes for thirty dollars. I hope I get back to Boulder to learn with Laura again!
Laura is intuitive and senses the needs of each unique class. Very comfortable studio environment.
Laura is a great senior teacher who makes yoga accessible to everyone.

I have been an inconsistent yoga dabbler for years. A friend recommended IYCB when I mentioned that I liked the Iyengar style of yoga. I went to the studio with no knowledge of the instructor and with no idea of what to expect. I loved it. The studio is small but welcoming and there is absolutely no pretentiousness whatsoever. There was no newbie doting, but I felt immersed within the first week. It truly feels like a center and not just a dime a dozen yoga studio. I enjoy Laura's instruction and she obviously embodies and lives the philosophy as well. I have to mention the rope wall because it was completely new to me and I think its the greatest thing ever!

Laura is simply fantastic. A wonderful and charming hands-on alternative to the chain studios. Great and creative use of props and a nice powerful flow in the advanced classes. I felt at home during my first class, and Laura helped me to do my first handstand. Great small friendly yoga studio

Really enjoying my experience here, good variety of classes!
Laura's amazing. The best yoga teacher i've ever had, and she makes jokes and tells stories. She is humble and there for you at every turn if you need help
I've walked/biked by this studio every day for over a year and just recently had the pleasure to enjoy a class.
When I noted a stellar deal on Groupon I didn't think twice before making the purchase.
Setting the scene: I consider myself a new age yogi - bring on the heat, bring on the power yoga, & bring on the acrobatic yoga. Before attending my first class the thought of taking something mindful and meditative honestly terrified me.
Not knowing what to expect I showed up wearing some new cool yoga gear (for confidence of course) as well as a somewhat open mind.
Laura was quick to welcome me to the class and get me signed in (each practitioner receives a card which indicates to the teacher what kind of membership they have. If you ask nicely Laura may offer you a cute animal sticker to adorn your card and make it a bit easier to locate upon check-in).
The other class attendees were more warm and welcoming than any class I've taken in the past 14 years I've been practicing. Each time I went up to retrieve a prop the person in front of me in line offered one to me. This is something I frequently do in class and this is the first time I've have the courtesy extended to me - it felt great!
The class itself was a rare treat. Stretching and breathing into postures has never felt so good. Rather than huffing, puffing, and sweating through class the vibe and Laura's gentle guidance (and clever sharp humor) set the scene for a truly rejuvenating and healing session (I'm currently struggling with some wrist and knee issues).
Today I had the pleasure of bringing my partner along and he proudly proclaimed to the teacher that this 'was the best yoga class he has ever experienced'.
I'm looking forward to attending many more classes during my membership and hope you also consider giving iyengar yoga a go at this lovely Boulder studio.
I cannot say enough great things about this place! The first time I came into class I was not sure what to expect (a 1.5 hour restorative class) Laura, owner/instructor, was so welcoming and helpful throughout! She has every prop in the book which makes coming back to the same class different and interesting each week. She takes the time to know each of her students which is wonderful. Try it out--you won't be disappointed!
Laura makes yoga accessible for everyone. The studio has a warm, welcoming vibe, and the practice is outstanding.
Laura is extremely knowledgable in body mechanics. She is very friendly, and the environment of the whole class is refreshing and fun. I never feel pressure to keep up, and she is always more than willing to give me the extra help that I need. She also teaches anatomy, and does workshops where we get to build muscles onto skeletons with colored clay, I love her artistic, creative way of teaching. Thanks Laura.
