Our balance beam stand's legs started to warp. We contacted Gibson and they told us that the warranty is only 1 year and we are making our claim at 17 months. I don't think taking a hard stand on this is very good customer service. The legs are obviously defective and all we were asking for is new leg stand, not to replace the expensive beam.

We are in the process of a brand new facility buildout and have worked with dozens of different companies in the last few weeks for various phases of our project.

It takes a great deal of energy, time, resources, to execute a plan on schedule when there are so many moving parts involved. The customer service at Gibson really stood out to me, they were so quick to answer emails, phone calls.

They helped us track our package with personal updates to ensure we received it on schedule for our contractors to install them.

It sounds like they had some issues in the past, but now in 2020 January, this is what my experience has been.

Gibson demonstrates great quality equipment and customer service. I have a set of stall bars from 7 years ago, that has had thousands of hours of use, and still going strong! 5 STARS.

Piss Poor Customer Service.

No option to pick up in person? Shipping direct only? I should have known.

Put in an order for some brackets on December 4th, on January 15th I call to find out what's taking so long and I'm told "that person is in a meeting". I get no call back. I call again and am told "we will find out." Again, no call back.

I had placed a second order on December 17th, for $2000 worth of equipment.

On January 17th I get an email saying my $2K worth of gear will be here on the 22nd. I ask where my first order is and am told "I only see one order."

The following day I receive a double order (!) of my original bracket set. However, the brackets came with substantially undersized hardware, which required (2) actions from Gibson before I just purchased the correct hardware myself, as it became apparent they would not. Additionally the rope included was not as described, and branded from a different manufacturer with a new stamp over it. Not impressed.

It's now January 25th, still haven't received my order from December 17th, that supposedly shipped out 8 days ago, from 30 miles away. I called the freight company and they said "we haven't been told to pick it up yet."

Poor quality product so far, even worse customer service.

Take your $$ elsewhere.

Fantastic customer service! My order went in and was shipped right away. There was an issue with the mail delivery (issue with the post office). It was so nice to talk to real people. I worked with 2 different people as we tried to trace the issue. I am fairly confident they are not customer service agents but professional staff doing other things when the call came in. However, they were so engaging and clearly committed to quality. I was very happy and we will continue to order from them.

I ordered mats from gibson only to not receive them at the time I was supposed to. I called in a few days after I ordered them and they told me then that the mats I ordered about a month earlier were no longer available for the price I ordered them for. They told me I was had to pay a significant amount more than I ordered them for. After informing them that this was illegal and threatening to call the BBB, they finally agreed to the original price. I then had to wait an additional two weeks for my mats, and when I went to pick them up, they acted like they were doing me a favor. I recommend going somewhere else for gym equipment.

Ordered a border for our high school floor, we were missing two edges, and a center piece, as well as 32 springs, and four floor mats. Notified Gibson about the mats, and then the springs, and later on after we found out we were missing part of the floor. They stopped returning calls and we are now out about $2,000. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

In mid-December, I bought a replacement coil that was the wrong one. I emailed on Jan 7th for a return authorization. I received the authorization and immediately packaged the coil in the box it was sent to me in. I put the printed email authorization and return instructions inside the box with my information. I labeled it clearly (used word processor, large font, double-checked address) and mailed it from Boulder, CO to Denver, CO (45 miles). Well, a month later I asked why I'd not received a refund on my credit card yet. Mansion Grove House (sells Gibson through Gibson's Denver warehouse) has repeatedly told me that they don't know if they received my package or not. They say I need to provide a tracking number (which I've misplaced by now) so they can verify that they received it. I asked why they can't just check their inventory. I have to prove that I sent it? How about they prove they haven't received it! Why didn't they issue the credit when they received it? Can't they take my word for the $26 spring coil and refund me? WHAT A HASSLE! I will NEVER buy anything for my amateur gymnast son at Mansion Grove House again! They don't know what's going on over there.
