This gym is pretty good by CA standards - I like that it's a Mom & Pop shop. The equipment is new and clean and they just added a fresh coat of paint inside. I never had to wait for a machine in my year and half of membership.
Great place to work out, although sometimes it is starting to get a bit crowded at times. Always clean and cool people!
Some staff could be more professional and friendly, they run out of towels often but in general this gym is acceptable. I prefer my own towel though since theirs are rough and stained. They can get VERY crowded and are slow to fix broken machines.
$45/month for there to be one single set of clamps for about 15 benches/squat racks. Yes, people steal them, but this is a known, universal problem that really no one can find a solution to? Alarm sensors? Order more and require check outs? If WalMart can figure out how to tag every single item in the store, surely a gym can pop a couple sensors onto clamps. This has been an issue the entire 3 years I've been coming here. It's unsafe. Every time I ask, they make the same excuse but don't do a single thing to help the issue. Don't mean to rant, but we pay a lot to come here, it's frustrating for this to be a problem and affect workouts week after week. Other than that the place is okay, overpriced considering it's not much different than other, non "signature club" LA Fitness locations. If you're torn between the two, I'd do a guest pass at both and see if the cost difference is actually worth it to you.
Cleaning staff is wonderful and always on top of things, which is nice. Wish they would do more about people bringing personal speakers to blast music with, and clean up the free weight area a bit.
The people at the front desk are not friendly at all. I've been there for three years so trust me when I say this. Also, most of the times they play the music, commercials and all way too loud. Should not have to compete with my headphones. In a positive e note, they keep the equipment and place nice and clean.

The worst do not sign up! Especially the personal training program. Zack the manager is a liar he will promise you the world and the minute you sign up and he took your money he will never schedule you for sessions not to mention all the trainer are mediocre.

Me and my friend wanted to work out on a free day pass like any normal gym. They charged my friend 5 dollars for being a member, but not signature club. After I was declined my day pass because I didnt want to pay 20 dollars, they would not refund my friends money. Would not recommend, do NOT work out here. Rude customer service and still took our money.

Straightforward Gym with nice aesthetics and amenities. Pool, Sauna, basketball court and racquetball courts, classes, personal training and helpful staff.
Pretty nice place with newer equipment but it's a premium club and there's nothing special to make it worth the extra. The standard clubs in Van nuys and Northridge are nicer

Ask me before they take over you!) and I cancelled my membership before the 5 business days! because they didn't help me in the price! They WANT TO MAkE YOUR BANK 0$ balance! And guess what?! Great gym. Staff is friendly and attentive. Them gym itself is very clean and machines will occasionally break, but get fixed in a timely manner.

I use only pool and sauna room. Pool is good and not busy. I do not like showers and the locker room, they do not feel clean.
The worst gym one of the trainers assaulted me mind you I am legally disabled, currently two broken bones on my left leg and a brace on my right, covered in scars head to toe from being burned alive. The trainer Jerome decided it would be a wise idea to grab me by the wrist and push me into a corner for taking a metal triceps extension from his area. After that two of his friends about 300lbs each said they wanted to beat me up. Don't feel safe coming here would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great gym. Clean, plentiful equipment, etc. My only complaint is people not reracking the free weights. They're always all over the place when I get there. What's up with that?

Here's the deal. This is the only signature (their upscale offering) but you're paying a premium just for the option to use a 2ft, towel. Not worth the price.
I love this club! A lot of simulators for every taste. You can train at any time. There are no situations when there are more customers than simulators. Simulators for all muscle groups !! Very convenient and very thoughtful to the details. Always nice music, polite staff. Very good club !! It is a pity that it does not always work out regularly.

Love it! Even during peak hours, you can still usually find at least one machine to work on.
Usually the best times to go when there's absolutely no one around would be 5 a.m. to 730 a.m. or so. Then again from 1 p.m. to about 4 p.m. Then again from around 8:30 p.m. till they close. Everything in between is usually when they are at their busiest.
As far as price and all that, they tend to be around the same as 24 Hour Fitness. Check for the specials and the different monthly deals.
LA Fitness vs. 24 Hour Fitness... You tend to get more of a bodybuilding workout at LA Fitness.. more free weight options. 24-Hour Fitness tends to have more cardio machines, more things designed for people who don't do free weights.
Parking is pretty easy at this LA Fitness, even during peak hours. I mean it's a parking lot within a huge parking lot. So you can always go to the parking lot 20 feet away if there isn't immediate parking right in front.
As far as security goes, don't put anything of value in your locker. I stress that! There have been a couple break-ins within the last couple years. You're better off leaving your valuables at home.
Been a member overa year and had a trainer, Jhony, the whole time. He's very professional and caters my training to my needs. The employees are friendly and helpful.
I really like this gym, it is equipped and clean, employees are friendly,clean towels are always ready to use.there are enough parking spaces around.
Good equipment, but bathrooms and locker rooms need much more attention. Too often staff are wiping down equipment while people are still using them while the locker rooms are a mess. Of course, if other members would pick up their own towels out of consideration for the next person, that would go a long way, too.
Front desk staff rarely look up and greet guests. When I walked into Jamba Juice across the parking lot I feel like Norm on Cheers as everyone greets me. Maybe they don't know my name, but they do,at least, follow the protocol to warmly welcome every customer.
Also, why are the cleaning crew and other staff allowed to park right up front? I'd think management would want those spaces available to paying members.
For what is probably the least expensive national chain gym in the area, I am pleased and can recommend it. More stars if bath/locker rooms better maintained.
Great amenities, including towel service. More equipment, and greater exercise options than any other LA Fitness I've been to. Pinky problem is the night crew doesn't clean the gym at all, so the place is often a mess at opening when I go.
Going to the gym is the only way I relax after a long day of work that is why I love this place.
