I am going to try to make this as short as possible, but my review is a little complicated so please bear with me...
I was looking for apartments in Apple Valley. When I found one I liked, I noticed the gym was nearby. On a fluke I went in to check it out. Nadia was there to greet me. Right off the bat, she was super thoughtful and attentive. She showed me the machines she asked me what my goals were and she even gave me a few quick tips. I let her know I didn't intend on signing up that day so she agreed to call me with a reminder when the holiday price drop happened. A week or so passed. And instead of an apartment, I end up in a room because the price is cheaper. Unfortunately this was a perfect example of "You get what you pay for..." because the people I rented the room from were, for lack of a better phrase, "Peeping Tom's ". Needless to say, I was freaked out. As I'm getting ready to call the police, I get the reminder call from Nadia. Because of the timing, I hit the poor girl with a boatload of vitrol over these weirdos... Any normal person would have made an excuse to get off the phone asap, but Nadia hung in there and listened to me vent. I apologized for being rude, and she said she'd give me another reminder call when things had calmed down.I didnt expect the first call tbh, so when she called me up again a week later to check up on me and see what happened I was surprised af. Even more surprising was as I braced myself for the hard sell she pretty much told me it sounded like I wouldn't be able to go to that gym and asked me how I was doing after all that BS. I was shocked and grateful. I mean, I have friends I've known since middle school who show less concern for me when trouble hits... For a random trainer at a random gym to show me this much human kindness was unexpected and refreshing. I don't know how much of her concern was customer service, but I feel like empathy and compassion are traits everyone needs from a physical trainer. As such, if you're looking for a cozy, quiet place where the people know you and you are valued, go to this Anytime Fitness. They go the extra mile when it comes to making their potential clients feel at home, I can only imagine how great they treat their members. I can't vouch for anyone else working there, but Nadia is dope. I'm just a random jackass, but i have a little management experience under my belt, and in my opinion, she deserves a promotion. Asap.
