Awesome place to workout especially if you powerlift. They have all the equipment you need to meet any goal. Great people, cool atmosphere i been working out there for 5 years now
Good place to work out. Make them show you the contract you're signing. The sales associates will tell you that there are no cancellation fees. I had them print me a hard copy on my way out, and there is a $100 cancellation fee. I'm considering canceling just because they lied to my face.
I teach Zumba at this gym and it's been a great experience! The group X team is so friendly and helpful!
If you are looking for a proper gym, look no further. The equipment and classes are top notch. I am a long time member of Virgin Active (in Australia) and this is pretty much on pair for 1/3 the price. The Status RX option is well worth the money. Classes fit all types of schedules and the coaches are excellent. You can get a great workout while being coached and pushed to your limit. This is great for those who need that extra motivation. They show you the proper way to lift weights and train so you don't hurt yourself. If you are deciding on a gym, I highly suggest giving this place a go.
I've been inside a few other gyms such as Planet Fitness, Anytime Gym, and In-Shape. All of these gyms have one thing in common, and that is their lack of energy. See here at the gym as soon as you come in you feel motivated and pumped to workout. The music they play, the lighting, and their STAFF! This gym is always clean, organized and filled with people who genuinely want to improve and help each other to achieve one's goal. No wonder this gym has being recognized multiple years now. Only nick pick that I have is that it gets dummy packed at times, but that's what happens when you're the best gym I suppose.
Awesome place. Great equipment and reasonably priced. I go there when I am in town because I live elsewhere. I wish they had one if these places where I live. Highly recommend.
I am a former member of The Gym (when it was World Gym) and am a current member of the gym next door. I walked in and told the front desk that I would like to speak to someone about re-joining. She got a sales associate who then proceeded to want to give me a tour. I explained that I was on a tight schedule and had very specific questions about equipment as I wasn't interested in free weights, spinning, dancing, cross-fit, etc. She said she had to show me everything and I reiterated that I am a former member so no need for that plus I am on a tight timeline. It went in one ear and out the other.
When we finished the tour, I asked about certain equipment for various body parts. She pointed and said it's "all in that area". I asked for specificity on the various equipment which seemed to exasperate her. I asked again, show me the equipment for Quads, and Hamstrings. She again pointed and said that it's in this general area. Since she didn't want to show me the equipment, I asked what equipment they had for those muscle groups. I answer I got was "well you can look at the equipment".
By now I was frustrated and ready leave but I needed cost numbers. The gym is reasonable and I probably would have (re) joined if not for the person forgetting who the customer is... my advice to The Gym? Don't make your sales associates robotic; listen to the customer/prospect first. If I had gotten my answers immediately, I would have joined on the spot.
Nice gym. Has a lot of machines to use. Sucks that there's certain equipment you can't use unless you have the cross fit membership which is almost $100 a month. Some of the equipment need maintenance or need fixes. Other than that it's a decent gym.
Great place to workout. There are a lot of great people and staff to keep me motivated.
I LOVE this gym!! I feel sooo welcome and motivated to get my workout on... The variety of classes and machines is AWESOME! Music pumping and everyone having a Great time... I'm SOOO happy I enrolled!
Lately a lot of equipment seems to be broken, and it looks like they are not taking care of the problem quickly...thats a dissapointment.

Its a nice looking gym but its money thirsty

Best place to work out in the high desert. It is one of the only 24 hour gyms (even 24 hour fitness is not actually 24 hour) and it does have a really great selection of free weights.
Very difficult to cancel your membership. I guess that's by design. The facilities are very nice with everything thing you need. Friendly staff that is very helpful. Loss of 2 stars because of how hard it is to cancel your membership. Other than that, the place is awesome.
It's not bad as a sauna and steam room which are really nice although they have a punching bag that you are not allowed to use unless you have a trainer watch you and that bothers me sense there's equipment in there that you can't use freelee.
Had a good ass workout that what she said lol. Na it's good I did go like at 12am so it was every machine was free the best so far.
Love this gym! I've been a loyal member since 2012. World Gym is current and up to date with equipment, interior design, experienced trainers, and overall maintenance.
I love the size of the gym. Plenty of cardio machines. My only complaint is the lack of security in the parking lot. Cars get broken into in the parking lot.
World gym is cleans and kept up. The tarffic of this establishment varies, but usually busy. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
Love the people, environment, they're constantly having sales on all kinds of nutrient drink mix and what not. Great place for everyone.
Love it! Get your workout, all equipment i need is right there. You also see a lot of people who will inspire you to do more. And the workers there are ready to help you achieve your goals
Buyer beware. I contacted them to cancel my membership. They informed me that I had to go to the gym to cancel and that was the only way to cancel. They continued to charge me for three months because my schedule had changed and I was not able to get to the gym which is why I wanted to cancel in the first place. They are also charging me an additional month after my cancellation date. In contacting the corporate office I was informed I could cancel in writing. I also confirmed this with the department of consumer affairs. The general manager was extremely rude and not helpful. They tell you that you have to go in to cancel knowing full well some people can't make it in and it allows them to continue collecting dues. This is just wrong!
I love this place. It's huge, tons of machines so that you don't have to wait much. It has a spa/sauna, locker room, and big spaces for activities and classes. I look forward to coming here 3 days a week, even if it's over 20 minutes away from where I live. And it's no contract membership!
