Great gym/swim place with all sorts of great programs. There is something great for everyone here. It is a nonprofit and non-discriminatory organization too , so it is great to support a good cause.
Very nice and clean state of the art Y. They have discounts and scholarships for the needy. The activities and classes are numerous..I am so excited about being a member
This is a pretty big gym, the service is good and there are tons of classes. There is also a great chidwatch for new moms to have their kids in good hands for an hour while they workout.
However, I have found that the accounting department is very likely. I was billed incorrectly many many times which was very inconvenient.
Overall its a great community and very family oriented
Great place for children and adults. Have everything you need in a gym and childcare while you workout.
I go to Torrance location even though I have another y closer to me simply because the facility has more to offer. We have been coming here for two years & love the staff. Childcare area is secure & they really go above and beyond.
Only thing I would really encourage that this y have is a nursing room. At first I was told to do it in the very back but it was still open to people, then the family changing room but that had the smell of chlorine. Finally I asked the childcare area and they let me use their storage area. It helped that day but now I just plan better. It would be great for place that was family centric to have something so fundamental to both a parent and child.
Great staff and they offer financial assistance for those in need! One of the best ymca's I've been a part of. Best part is that they are part of the nation wide program, so when you travel you still have acess to the YMCA! They have a rock wall and 3 pools, money well spent in my opinion.

The staff is amazing! It can get very busy...like Costco but the people are actually nice! Lol The facility is pretty clean and registration was easy but lengthy for my large family. The family changing room is pretty nuts and extremely wet but I'm glad there is the option however I was told there was no nudity allowed and my first experience there, that was not the case...not what I want my little boys to see. There was a lot more splashing and jumping than I expected in the free swim zone. My 10 year old signed up for the swim crew but got bumped because she could not keep up after the first class. The class description should notify parents of the requirements (swimming 8+ laps) however switching classes was very simple. The child care crew is great, only wish they changed diapers and mixed formula but I understand the risks. Overall it's a great budget friendly membership for big families.

This 1 star is for the lady who runs the table tennis and badminton games. She is rude beyond measure always showing priority in the games to people from her culture whether on the badminton court or in the table tennis room. My family and I have been members for over 10 yrs and she has been the only rude employee we've encountered. Sad.
Very happy to use that location. Helpful staff, always clean, and plenty of individual and group exercise options.
The wait to see someone is ridiculous. Staff doesn't care about making you wait.
My son loves to play basketball here, The coach is really good and great with the kids. He trains them well.

Great clean, beautiful pools and jacuzzi. Some like me, like it hot some don't. I enjoyed the Aqua Zumba class with Hiroe. I just wish the other water classes could be in the evenings too for those that still work. I also would enjoy a Tai Chi class.
