Filthy old outdated gym. This place needs a renovation in a bad way. Been a member at LA fitness for 25 years. There are many nicer locations than this pos.
Has a decent variety of machines but the size makes quantity limited catch it early in the morning or late at night for uniterupted sessions
The dressing rooms need to be updated. Doors are hanging off the hinges and there's no space to turn around. The gym area is cool. Great equipment and the snack bar has a good selection of healthy items.

BIGGEST downside is there is no wifi available. The building is big and do not get good cell service inside. To be a gym in this day and age without wifi baffles me.
Which goes back to management not caring enough.

I give them 5 stars because this is the only gym that opens very early and closes late.
If it was not for bag police this be a great gym. Why leave your items in the locker room to get broken into or car. Keep your gym bag close. Don't tell me about some one going to trip over the bag when u got weights all over the place.

They have good machine's
The trend mill are more updated than the one's in Alhambra
Dont like the fact that its in the mall plaza so it can be hard to find parking but not a problem if you go in the morning
Due to the weather conditions LA Fitness at move to USA Fitness in North Hollywood stop by today we have great promotions we're located at 7500 North Lankershim Boulevard in Hollywood we have a daycare center stop by today
Clean gym that you expect at any cost. Really good staff. Very helpful to the guests
Been working here for the last 12+ months and we recently had a remodel and all I can say is that I am proud of the way it looks and I am proud of being apart of the La fitness brand. Looks like a higher end facility with new equipment and flooring/murals.

Gym is fine. Plenty of equipment . My only issue is the locker area. Lockers your climbing over each other to change. Steam room is good.
Spotleasly clean. Every weight placed where it belongs. It may be an older facility, but the cleanliness makes up for a few cracked tiles. The Chicago area la fits could learn from this facility.
Dumbells go up to 125 which is a huge plus. They need to restock safety clips as well as purchase specialty bars for power lifting. Members should also be properly trained on returning dumbells back to their proper rack!
so me and my wife decided to go back to the gym , we did the online free pass before coming in. we came in around 630am but the front desk lady told us they only allow guess pass at 8am unless we pay $15 for a day pass. so we waited from 630am til 8am and when we came back at 8am manager came to us and told me that he cant let me in because i have a basketball unless i pay $15 for a day pass again and told me dat just go back in when i dont have the basketball with me and he turn his back on us. he is very rude and arrogant , so right der dey just lost 2 potential costumers , me and my wife were planing to get a 2 years membership from costco but we just want to try the gym 1st dats why we get the free pass. we just wasted our time coming in to this gym. if anyone is planing to go here do urself a favor , dont waste your time coming in, i have read some of the reviews of ather people and apparently me nd my wife are not the only one had the same issue with this gym.
Extremely clean for an la fit gym. The guy with the vacuuming backpack works his ass off cleaning that place. I like it cuz it's kinda vintage
Literally just got shafted by this gym. Absolutely no regard for customer experience. We got a guest pass from my dad to use the gym while we are in town visiting and after we honest about not wanting a membership they pretty much said we can't use our guest pass and will have to pay the drop in rate. I don't know who gave my dad the guest pass and how that conversation got skewed or who taught the management and staff about the power of conversation and building relationships. But they failed on all levels here. Maybe if this first interaction had gone differently I would consider a membership. But no sir. No thank you.
Below average facility, but good people and good staff. Friendly vibe. Equipment below average. Built lots of muscle here.

Clean, good equipment, not overly crowded. Sometimes takes too long for broken equipment to be fixed. Overall a good place to go.

As much as i like LA Fitness their Torrance Branch is one of the worst... I get to attend LA Fitness studios over the entire country, from the East to the West Coast... taking friends of mine with me - getting a GUEST PASS online super easy, never had any issues... thou @the Torrance one... you need to get your GP activated in advance... front desk staff can't do it, and Sales Agent won't show up before 8am. If you wana purchase a 'day pass' for 15$ they won't be able to give you change... I mean how can you take Cash but not be able to give change? Depending on who is on duty at the front desk - some of those girls are super sweet and helpful - others not so much, too busy with their smart phone and giving attitude to costumers.... So LA Fitness yeah- Torrance branch naaaay ! ! !

Although I use this gym because it opens early on weekdays (0430), the equipment (especially stationary bikes, treadmills, etc.) are not well maintained; the pool is far too warm; the men's showers are continually moldy, shower water pressure is poor, toilet area is filthy & locker room is regularly out of paper towels... (Cloth towel service is not offered.) This club has over-sold it's memberships... exercise classes & pool are overcrowded, stationary bikes & treadmills are often full &/or unavailable due to prolonged waits (weeks) for service requests.
