Clean. Friendly. Adequately equipped. Patrons tend to hoard dumbbells, against gym rules while doesn't reinforce. Otherwise decent PF in LA.

The staff is always friendly & helpful. It is very clean and the machines all appear to be well maintained. The trainer Don is awesome. I love being able to pop my ear pods in, hop on the treadmill or elliptical and watch netflix. It is fantastic! Best fitness experience in a cool minute.

It's basically a brand new gym as far as machines go. However, this is one of the most poorly maintained PF's I've been to out of the 30+ I've visited in the past six months. After working out here for a week I noticed a roof leak has kept 1 machine down, and a plumbing issue in the mens locker room has kept a urinal from flushing for over the entire time I've used this gym. The smell has permeated throughtout the entire locker room; it smells like urine everywhere, not that welcoming. Lastly, the sinks in the locker room are the worst sinks ever. Putting aside the issue of smelly and heavily scaled water, if you want to use the sink, you have to put your hands up directly under the fossit, practically touching it to get the water to run and they shut off as soon as you pull your hand away. The sensors need to be readjusted badly. Other than that it's a pretty good gym. All the standard equipment is there and I've gone all different hours and besides the heavy influx of elderly people around Noon, everybody seems to mind their own business. 2/5

My main problem with them is the DUST! They don't dust above and around the tvs! You can SEE the dust ready to fly everywhere.
ALSO, they don't play music!! It's like being in a library! UFC gym is nearby and you can hear their music just walking down the sidewalk. It's motivating to hear music when you work out. So DUST and NO MUSIC. Plus I must add, they are not your trypical gym. They don't sell healthy protein powders, bars. In fact, more than half of the staff is overweight! They have their food behind them on a counter. Pizza, burgers, fried chicken. This is a GYM? I really only go here for the massage beds/chairs. I can workout anywhere! Plus, some of the staff are rude. They will barely acknowledge you.

It's ok for what it is. Nice that you can bring a friend for free. But I cant get behind the idea of a gym that serves pizza but doesn't have a scale. Most people go to the gym to get healthy and in shape, keeping track of your weight plays a big factor in that.

I recommended this gym to my husband a year ago because I wasn't sure he would be able to commit to a year with his crazy schedule. I kept seeing ad after ad of $10 a month with no commitment. So he signed up and was talked into the $20 a month black card. Which at the time he thought he can cancel anytime. Well a little after a month he reliazed that with his work schedule he doesn't have time for it. So he went to cancel and was told he was put on a annual contract and not the no commitment one and that he could down grade to the $10 one. So he did that and 2 months later was charged some other random hidden fee! Then the year is finally up and he went to cancel and they told him that he can't because the annual contract started over when he down graded! This gym is cheaper than most but be ready for a annual contract and a extra fee at 3 month that no one mentions. I am personal upset because they took advantage and hoped no one would read the fine print in the contract and Very False advertisement !! No commitment, $10 FAKE,FAKE,FAKE,!!!

A good and clean gym always have equipment available and the staff is always cleaning and organizing. I always come really early which is the best time in my view. Great Gym!

I came in to get a feel for the equipment and to see the functionality of the treadmills.
Instead they said it's a 20$ requirement to get that answered and no chance for refund if the treadmills are not too my required speed for workout. I asked them why and that its uneasy for a buyer to not be able to try anything for a day. They told me "that's the way it is".
I'd reccomend a different gym that is working with you and not against you. I realize gyms are competitive with pricing but most gyms let you get a chance to try the equipment out.
And in the end they didn't know how fast the treadmills run or if they provide any grade... literally 15 steps away from the desk.

The gym is nice, but many of the headphone outlets on the treadmills are broken and it is also staticy. Also, I'm really disappointed that they don't have even one lay down tanning bed, as that is another reason I became a black card member. They could just remove two of the stand up and have room for the lay down ones. I went to the one in Sacaramento, which was even smaller and they had both! A lot of people prefer to lay down when tanning when tanning. Also, I appreciate owner comments on customer concerns. However: Instead of a generic premade comment from owner, it would be better to write a more personal direct comment to show you're taking concerns seriously. Mentioning many of these concerns to the staff won't have the same affect and possible remedy as by the owner, as they don't have the authority to make many of the changes that the owner does. I did mention the headphone connections not working properly on many of the treadmills but still 6 months later not fixed. Same as with tan bed, as only owner can change that.

This gym is never crowded, and is always clean. The people are friendly and so are the workers. Definitely upgrade to the black membership that hydromassage is fire!!!

Just went in to get my tour since I joined online. Mickey was very helpful from the moment I stepped foot inside. Very professional and informative. Clean gym and ambiance is awesome. Just wish the had a Planet Fitness here in Gardena.

People complain about it being too packed, yeah if you go at peak hours from about 4 to 8 pm (post work hours). Try going at 2am and it's fantastic. Such a great place for the price and this location is so much better than most other ones and I've been to many others. It's a good size and very well kept. It's my new regular place.

This is one of the nicer Planet Fitness centers that I have been to. They have some equipment not seen at other locations.

Cool staff Justine was very helpful with the set up and explaining the breakdown of everything she was very honest and straight forward and even tho we kept her laughing the whole time she still was very professional kudos I will definitely bring more people in to her for membership.

Packed all day and all night with people who don't know what they are doing. Lack of machines and the staff is blah. I only come here to poop when I'm nearby and have to go. 24hr is a real gym, this place is just a retirement home basically.

Each location is differs in some equipment in one way or another due to size of building and possible placement. Staff is friendsly, Equipment is well kept. Women's has 3 toilets 3 changing rooms and 4 showers. Mens has 2 toilets 3 changing rooms and 4 showers. The showers are usually pretty cleaned. But that depends on the type of people that frequent the location. I believe the cerritos location has the best shower facilities and by cleanliness as well as people in the area take care of the facility much better then the patrons at this torrance location. Especially in the men's its lazy lowbrow individuals that leave items or make a mess. Usually it will be in the 1 hour or 2 hour round the staff will come and clean.

For the price, it's great! It is a lot cleaner than 24 hour fitness! Locker rooms at least, womens, if clean and nice.However, there is a lot of dust in the Cardio area overhead. So if you have allergies, watch out!

This place was awesome! I had to stop going due to far distance from my place, but 30 minute workout section is useful and the free classes trainer was great

I had a rocky start with some bad luck early on, but once I finally reached the manager, Christina, on the phone, she was very nice and more then made up for what happened. Good customer service, once you get a hold of her. I love their motto also, and their prices seem to be the best in the area. Thank you, Christina.

We come here 4 to 5 times a week mostly. Employees are really nice, the gym and machines are well kept. It gets crowded sometimes during the hours I am available to go which makes sense since it's rush hour but that's the only real downside. Membership costs are great of course.

I used to like it and would have given 5 stars but here's my problem. I was a member of this club for 1 year and 6 months. I lost 40 pounds by following my own program. I am giving this 1 star review because I feel humiliated. I slowly got stronger and went from squatting 135lb to 310. When I deadlifted heavy, my back gave out and I dropped with the weight, and I basically got scolded by 1 of the staff for trying to improve and was told that I might break the machine. It took them two weeks to fix the pull up bar. The moment they told me that I'm shouldn't lift heavy, they lost a customer. I'm discontinuing my account soon because of this reason.

I really like Planet Fitness, most of the time it isnt busy and you are able to move around easily. There is ever any wait for machines, and the atmosphere is always great.

Great facility. Gets crowded in the evenings. Late night and early mornings are the sweet spot. Parking is never an issue. There's a place in both front and back.

Visiting from out of state, so my review is based on a comparison of my home PF.
First, it's a good size PF, but was very very crowded. Greeted nicely by the staff.
My only complaint would be direct across the sign in desk is a good size stretching area. Laying on the floor when I arrived was 3 wadded up wet paper towels on the floor. Definitely in the line of sight of the desk employees. An hour later, when doing my cool down, the same trash was still laying in the same spot. And a 4th paper towel was in the middle of the room.
So -1 for over crowded and -1 for cleanliness.
I'd go back, but the amount of people there would make me look for another home gym.
