This gym has nice facilities, but it's just dirty and poorly maintained.
Check out the locker room floors, pool deck and sauna. There's typically debris in the pool, including band aids on the bottom and hair floating in the water. The management seems to focus on bringing in more new members (the club is on the verge of overcrowding) while neglecting concerns of existing members. I'd happily increase this rating if the management would invest more in keeping the club nice and clean.

Staffs were super nice and entertained me well. Good working machine and the bathroom is clean. Not that crowded too.

Isaiah was so helpful! I am so glad I joined the city club! Everyone is always so friendly and the equipment is clean. The hot tub is the BEST!

Good fitness center. They are offering personal training and group classes.

Going here for week only, but already faced the act of stealing. My lockbox was breached, nothing, luckily, was stolen, but only the lock itself.
The reaction of reception guys - pity and regret only.
It's really interesting how they handle all this situation cause I'm not the only one and this occurs pretty often. Why not make normal lockers or install cameras on the entrance or simply search who's entering. It's beyond my insight.
+1 one star for the equip.
Русская версия: НИКОГДА, не берите в этот спортзал вещи кроме сменной одежды. Если что-то ценное взяли то несите с собой в зал. Воруют и администрации на это начхать.

По остальным пунктам претензий нет - зал хорош.

The club runs the business in a very unethical way. We froze our account for 3 months and they unfreeze and charge us automatically without asking for permission at the second month. When we ask for the justification, they claimed we need to call in every month even though we initially asked to freeze it for 3 months.

Great facility but they have loud music all the time and it is very annoying. They don't respect people's privacy. One shouldn't have to be forced to listen to screaming loud music when you are trying to relax while working out. I even complained to the managers and they don't care.

This is a pretty good gym if you're not a hardcore gym junkie. Rather new equipment, plenty of squat racks, benches, and free weights. The weight room is generally pretty empty, but has overall pretty bad ventilation, and it feels like its 10 degrees warmer in there than in the cardio/machine room. I haven't used the pool/sauna/basketball court, but they look pretty good. The only annoying thing is that you will get lots of calls for personal training whether you want it or not.

I've been a member here for 3 months now. This gym is within walking distance to my house so I keep going back, but it is really not worth the price. Scroll down for a summary if you don't want to read my detailed review.

The gym is extremely crowded during peak hours (after work, ~5:30-7:30pm) - to the point that I often cannot do every exercise I'd like unless I stand and wait for a machine or bench to open up. The temperature always seems a few degrees too warm for a gym, making cardio uncomfortable. At least 50% of the time I can't find a clean toilet to use in the women's locker room. Unfortunately, I have seen men walk into the women's locker room before, and because there is no door they will see anything and anyone near the entrance. I have also had very unpleasant experiences with creepy guys waiting 2 feet from the machine I am using, standing and watching me use it, even during non-peak hours when half the gym is empty, which leads to a terrible gym 'culture.'

While the staff are friendly, they are extremely salesy. In order to use a free 5 day pass, you have to sit down and listen to their sales pitch where they actually make you choose a package. Then every day during the 5 day trial I would receive a phone call from the staff asking if I was ready to join. After I signed up, the personal trainer called me daily leaving me voicemails trying to sell me on personal training after I declined. It feels like I am working out at a car dealership.

PROS:
-Lots of cardio equipment
-Free towels
-Class pricing included in membership
-Machines and weights are all relatively new, clean, and functional

CONS:
-Car dealership-level sales approaches trying to sign you up for membership and personal training
-VERY busy during peak hours
-Frequently a few degrees too hot for comfortable exericse
-Almost no classes offered after work hours/on weekends
-Bathrooms often not clean
-Awful culture (men walking into women's locker room, men standing 2 feet away watching you work out while "waiting for your machine" in an otherwise half-empty gym at off-peak hours)

Very bad experience with them. First time u have to pay the first and last month, which means when you want to cancel it, you have to pay an extra month. They charge initial fee, annual fee. Seems like they are doing one-time business, not expecting comeback customers.

The good: lots of cardio that even during busy hours there is usually something available. And it's fairly clean in the gym area.

The bad: There are no policies or procedures for managing rude behavior on the gym floor. Members can talk loud, listen to music loud, sit on machines for 30 minutes texting and checking their email. The employees don't care, especially the current manager. So if you have a high tolerance for rude people, this is a gym for you.

This is a nice gym, if you like the corporate gyms. However, there is no culture, no feeling of community and the busy times (7-9 and 5-8) are so busy that you cannot even hope to get to the squat racks or bench presses. For a gym of this size, I would expect the weight room to be much more developed, with more squats, benches and room for deadlifts. Instead, it is overrun by too many cardio machines. Further, I found the fact that 4 different personal trainers called me multiple times, even after I declined, very annoying. Its a nice gym for those who like clean, cardio-heavy, facilities. However, as a big lifter, I opt for the smaller, family-run gyms with a sense of community.

I wanted to give a shout out to Harrison Kiang. I was in town for a very short time and needed a place to work out. Harrison took care of me without hesitation and for me this speaks volumes about City Sports Club. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. I would recommend City Sports Club to everyone.

The facility is great along with the equipment and people.

Very good health club. They are offering group classes and Personal trainings. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I've been going here for about a year. Great facilities, wide variety of cardio and weight machines. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free weight area gets very crowded unless its late, not a lot of squat racks. Pool is also pretty small, only three lanes and they frequently hold kids' swim lessons.

Citysports as such is a decent place with good equipment classes etc. What is appaling about this place is the personal training program that is run by a scumbag called Mark. He is a pushy creep who will take your money and not even provide u with a trainer. I am fighting for my 4 paid sessions when they promised me with top trainers but in reality had no trainers. Jerks!

As you've probably read, this one is City Sports Signature so you need to pay an extra $5/month to use this gym.

I've been to several different City Sports and this one is exactly the same EXCEPT that they provide you with a towel when you walk in and they also have this cryogenic therapy place attached to the gym. Just like other City Sports, it's fairly new so all the equipments are working and look great. Because of the towels, you won't see sweat on the seats.

There are places to eat right outside too (Sweet Tomatoes, Acai Bowl, Una Mas, In n Out!). A little dangerous I have to say.

I've left my sweater and gloves here once. I came about a week later (yea I don't go to the gym much) and they had it in their lost and found. They do close exactly on time with a lot of warning before the close.

Ok why 4 stars? It's in Mountain View off of El Camino so you better go at the right time or you're stuck in traffic. Parking is a little challenge too.

Plenty of workout equipment even during busier hours. Very clean and well maintained with new equipment. Free towels too. Pool is also adequate (albeit a bit small and crowded during busy hours).

This is a very nice gym. I'd like to mention that I was helped by Ernest and can tell you what a great deal he gave me and how nice and friendly he is. Five stars all the way...

Weight equipment is decent and stays pretty organized. Wifi is spotty and cell reception is non-existent. Classes are nice - Janice is the best spin teacher! Super crowded after work though.

October 25, 2017 10:51

The staff is very not nice. I've tried to call twice to switch my gym from Sunnyvale to Mountain view(which is signature club). I'm paying more, that supposed to be a good thing, right? But first time, I called. the staff said, you need to upgrade your membership. I asked how, you hanged up on me! I immediately called back again, ask the same thing, just heard that she said"good question, hold on", then she talk to another staff said " I don't understand what she is talking about" then hang up on me again!!!!! How rude!!!!

October 25, 2017 10:51

Not bad if you need access to swimming pool, basketball courts atc.. It is lacking if you are into weight lifting and such.

October 25, 2017 10:51

Well equipped with all the cardio equipment and weights. Wifi usually doesn't work well, tv on some treadmills is shaky and the staff is not capable to help on it.
You will have to get through their sales talks in the beginning (after which they leave you alone) and you should take care of deadlines for freezing and cancelling. You can easily end up paying for an extra month because you missed it by a day.

October 25, 2017 10:51

Swimming pool is small and crowded because of bad organization: only 2 people can swim on a lane at once as they just split the lane. No one heard about usual clockwise swimming where more people can use the lane. Guard does not look after the swimmers so there are people swimming with scuba equipment (which may be dangerous for other swimmers) as well as people swimming in clothes (like t-shirts and shorts). I regret I paid money for it.

October 25, 2017 10:51

Wide variety of lift machines, dumbles, running and eleptical. Great for weight lifters.
