The Y has been such a great resource for my family. I highly recommend taking a look before signing up for a traditional gym. They have so many programs, amenities, and classes with knowledgeable and professional instructors it's a great value!

My child attends YMCA morning care, after care, and enjoys every summer for the last 3 years with the amazing leaders we have on school site & during summer, like our Director Renee who seriously needs a raise because of her outstanding job she does on campus and all the hard work and dedication she puts in. She's a blessing to all of our children, as well as, Vanessa, Leslie, and there's so many more! But all of these ladies are amazing and take care of our children and actually teach them, help them and guide them. You basically become family when you join the YMCA whether it's for summer or if it's offered at your school site. I am most grateful for every single leader that is at the Castro site. You guys do an amazing job and my child enjoys each and every single one of you.
The Y offers a wide variety of activities, programs and events! They are well delivered and fun.
They are the best. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The place is clean. Love the outdoor pool. So much equipment and all in great shape. The other members are cool too.

This is not a good place for people with developmental disabilities. My work used to bring our clients here all the time but we started receiving complaints from the staff and the ymca gym-goers. One of the complaints was that our clients were walking around the gym too much. When someone has a developmental disability, they need to move and take mental breaks by walking or making noises. This should not result in a complaint. My clients are fearful of one of the ymca staff, Margo, because she would always sternly talk to them and report complaints from the gym-goers.The regular gym-goers are very judgemental and come across as snobby when seeing my clients. We have started going to different ymca's where they are more warming to my clients.

Gym is pretty clean, free weights area on the smaller side however. A lot of local high schoolers come so it can get crowded during after school hours. Bathrooms are good and cleans, but a lot of surprise naked people inside

The staff at this YMCA are unbelievable - what a great team. The locker rooms are fine, and the cardio is excellent. The weight area can get crowded, it is on the small side, but it is clean.
One thing, watch out, there has been quite a bit of theft there recently. Happens at gyms.....
Good facility, very clean and nice but customer experience should be better. I had a problem with one of the receptionist and after talking to her manager about her bad attitude and other issues with her employee the manager told me it was only my "perspective"!
Go here every day to workout, great environment for families but also for anyone trying to get fit.
