I got tired of 24 Hour Fitness' skankness next to Costco on Via Princessa (It is so dirty and OLD), so I joined LA Fitness.
This facility is clean and like new. You don't have to sneer and wince when you want to use the Jacuzzi or fear using the rest rooms. The lockers are unbelievably sturdy and large.
It is not open 24 hours a day, but keep in mind that many 24 hour fitness' aren't open 24 hours a day (I don't know how they get away with that one)
In my experience the fitness clubs that close at Midnight or 1am like LA Fitness does, are much cleaner and the fitness equipment is newer.
LA Fitness bought financially fledgling Bally's in the 2000's. As I recall l, the Bally's clubs ,which also closed at 12am were also much cleaner than most 24th hour fitness I've been in. I've become very disenchanted with 24 hour fitness. They're fine if you don't travel and use different clubs and happen to live near one of their fancier fitness clubs, but otherwise you're getting subpar equipment and amenities that cost more than what the competition is charging.
