Ekata has exceeded my expectations with their children's martial arts program. Currently our children are approaching year 2, as students. They have learned Jeet Kune Do, Savate, weapons training (nunchak, bo staff, escrima, and more), and their journey continues! Also, our kids are always excited to attend class as well.

As for the adult classes, I am very impressed with the quality and physical intensity of the programs. Also, all of the instructors are extremely skilled, and they provide excellent knowledge transfer to all students. Overall I am glad my family has found Ekata to help keep our mind and body healthy!

Sifu Ed and Joanne are amazing! Best whole life training you can find in LA. Whether training in martial arts, learning meditation, or just wanting a clean gym, this place has it all! Love the staff and the familial feeling you have here. Highly recommend!!!

Ekata Training Center is by far the nicest gym I ever went to.
The facility has nice equipment but that's not the best part.
Every instructor I worked with was outstanding in their own way.

The last workout blew out my fitbit. ;)

The workouts are functionally correct and the martial application is no BS.

I have seen every fitness level and martial background work side by side to get better.

After my last car accident I thought I was done with martial arts but within a few weeks of working out at Ekata I got the rehabilitation I needed and no move and feel almost as good as I did before the car wreck and a full year of no exercise at all.

Please disregard some of the sad competitors attempts to discredit Ekata. Go for one class, any class, tour the facility, meet the people, then see if you don't feel the same way I do about Ekata.

Everyone here sucks. UFC gym much better equipment much better teaching. Beginners beat all people here. In Russia, this place would go out business. No one would come here.

All these 5 star reviews in the last week seems a little suspicious to me. My two kids took classes here a year ago. My daughter was being bullied by several students and one of the instructors. She was so tramutized by her experience here she is still in therapy but is making slow progress. Kids can be so mean. She unfortunately has a lot of facial hair and kids were constantly pointing it out during classes. When the instructor cracked a joke about her facial hair during class my wife and I pulled her out of the program. When we complained to the owners they told us they were sorry but did not discipline any of the students or the instructor. No apologies from any of those students or the instructor. I thought martial arts teaches respect. NOT at this school!!!

We switched from another martial art/after school program in Santa Clarita and we love Ekata. I love healthy snacks program and the classes offer. Staffs and instructors are very nice and knowledgeable. On top of everything, no extra charge for camp on no school day and no belt testing fee makes I love Ekata even more.

Ekata is exactly what I needed. I left another local gym because I was ready to take my fitness to the next level. I needed more than just a weight set and a bubbly instructor bouncing around and telling me to breathe. I needed a complete mind and body tune-up and Ekata offers that. Mindfulness, arts (dance, singing, etc), martial disciplines, kettlebells. Anything you could possibly want to become a well-rounded and peaceful individual. I love it.

Amazing place for fitness, fun and friendship!! Learning marital arts is super empowering especially for women! Ekata has a variety of classes and activities for everyone. It's wonderful for a family to all participate and practice mindfulness.

My ex-wife signed up our daughter here because one of her girl friends recommended the place. After only a few weeks, my daughter no longer wants to attend because she says its too scary. We found out later a group boys in class had been picking on her. My ex-wife brought this to the owners attention and they basically blew her off saying "boys will be boys". Shame on them.

Awesome facility. The staff is very attentive and helpful to everyone. So many different disciplines are not only offered but taught well. And I love that Ed knows, has lived, and believes what he teaches.

This training center is set up for total wellness of Mind, Body and Spirit. It's the best kept secret in Santa Clarita.

Buyer beware. Bait and switch at this facility. Owners have a bad attitude. Looks like most of the reviews here are from people associated with their school. My kids never want to come back to this place.

A very special place in the heart of Santa Clarita. My sons ages 8, 9 & 13 have been training Jeet Kune Do martial arts here for about a year and a half and I have seen a tremendous change in their level of confidence and initiative as a whole. The classes reinforce what my husband and I try to instill in them at home...respect, focus, a sense of pride in everything they do, being active and overall being better versions of themselves in life. At Ekata, they train hard and give them tools to create a lifestyle that will carry on with them forever.

I see families who train marital arts here and take their lives a step further by nourishing their bodies through the many guided fitness activities offered and through mindful meditation. We practice meditation at home and to see it as an integral part here is a blessing.

Ekata is beyond the common gyms and training centers you see around. It really is a facility that focuses on centering yourself and grows into an extended family. Ekata encourages the mind to break through blocks and overcome limitations, slow down and breathe and be in the moment. Learning martial arts is the skill, but the life skills here is priceless.

If there ever was a place to become a part of, this is it. For your children. For yourself.
