After 30 years away from the gym I really was a little nervous about starting again I met James and decided to give it a shot. So glad I did. James and his staff have been supportive, non judgemental and caring and I am so grateful for not only a great gym but for being part of a supportive family. I really love my SOF family and look forward to being back in the gym again soon. In the meantime they have stepped up and started video and live virtual workouts. Anyone looking for a gym that is so much more than just a gym look no further.

Today was the fifth day in a row that I attended a workout class at Survival of the Fittest...I honestly can't remember the last time I did that at any gym. The trainers are top notch, the classes are small and I have felt welcome in every class. James O'Rourke is to be commended on selecting professional and caring trainers. Howard Tons, Shea Cassidy, Jennifer Quinn and Joan Campbell along with James were the trainers whose classes I took this week. I am grateful to them all for making me feel welcome.

SOF exceeded my expectations. I lost 24 lbs during a 6 week challenge. The trainers are the best!

Really great gym, the trainers are truly invested in your progress and existing members are friendly and fun to work out with! I've been going for a little over 3 weeks and can already see results. If you're willing to do the work, James and his team will get you to your fitness goal! They keep you accountable and consistently push you to be better than you were yesterday. So glad I found them!

I started working out with James as a complete beginner, feeling completely demotivated and unhappy with my health/fitness and intimidated at the thought of embarrassing myself at the gym. But James really helped me through those first couple of classes, providing excellent support and knowledge as I started my journey. I've been thrilled with my progress and look forward to my gym days. SOF lives up to the hype - some of the best money I've ever spent.

I absolutely love this gym. The trainers are enthusiastic, caring and are extremely well versed in all aspects of fitness, making each gym session educational and exciting. They utilize different exercise strategies so that no two classes are the same. The variety of workouts are great for keeping the interest of the clients. I've thoroughly enjoyed every class I've taken and cannot wait to see the long term results. I highly recommend trying this gym out for a week or two, you will be hooked!

I have been working out with James O' Rourke for 5 years! And I have loved every second of it. He is always changing things and making the workouts fun and interesting!

Prior to my arrival at Survival of the Fittest Health and Wellness I spent 3 years going through major life events and I lost track of diet and exercise.

By the end of 2015 I needed to get back on track and find a new fitness home. I never liked the box store gyms, I wanted a gym like my last gym, one that was serious and focused and felt like a family. After some searching I found James O'Rourke and Survival of the Fittest Health and Wellness. In little time, I knew this was the right place for me.

So far, I have lost over 12 pounds, my body fat went down 13.9 pounds, my fat % went down 6.6% and my BMI went down from 35% to 27.3%. I was elated to see the progress since my first weigh in when I started with James O'Rourke.

James O'Rourke is very knowledgeable and motivational. His expertise not only lies in fitness but in nutrition as well. I also needed a trainer that felt like a friend. James is all of these and that makes for a well rounded trainer.

I have now been with James for four months and plan on continuing permanently. I have a great nutritional program that is not a diet, rather a way of life. I have motivation, accountability, proper instruction and a friend. I couldn't be happier about my health and fitness level, I am certain I will continue and achieve my goals.

Working out in the semi private class with James is the best "gym" experience I have ever had. He does all the thinking for you! I get in, I work out hard, and get it done. He is consistent, reliable, and very knowledgeable. It's not just about working out, it's a lifestyle. James has provided me with a vegetarian diet that is very manageable, easy to shop for and simple to cook! I attend the 6am class, starting my day off feeling strong and confident! James keeps a positive attitude and also posts motivating weekly inspirations on the group FB page to remind us to stay focused! I highly recommend his services if you're looking to get healthy and stay healthy.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! James pushes you beyond your limit to make sure you reach your goals! I lost so much weight and I'm in better shape than ever. During semi-private sessions, you get every bit of attention you need to perfect your workout and ensure maximum fat burn. There are also group sessions where you truly feel like you're a part of a big family due to the positive atmosphere.
I would recommend anyone who wants to loose weight or get in shape to join! You will not regret it!
