Love this place! Great trainer and great people. You are not just another number here, like you are at a typical gym. Here they take the time to get to know, not only your name, but what you're about and what you want to achieve. It's unlike anything I've done before and I can't imagine ever going anywhere else.

It's a great place to challenge yourself every day. The community of people is a blast and I'd highly recommend trying this place out.

This review two years ago would have been different. 2 years ago I walked into this gym with a positive attitude and thought to myself, "man I'm lucky to have such an amazing trainer and a beautiful group of people to call family," if you will. But as time pressed on I began to witness some crazy things. The gym membership began to decline. In a matter of 6 months to a year I watched individuals that were dedicated to this gym and that believed in its mission begin to give up and leave (40 to 50 members). I constantly wondered, why is this happening? What is going on? When confronting Ben, the owner and head trainer, the excuse was always the same. They are leaving because it's something they did or its something they said, or its something they didn't agree with. I bought into it. The gym painted these individuals as mean spirited people. I never questioned it. Until..it began to happen to me. I am a very nice guy. I don't like to toot my own horn but when you are my friend I back you a 150%, no matter what. And that's what I began to do for this place. I became very good friends with the head trainer and his girlfriend. Double dating and enjoying each others company. I bought into the gym's mission. And then it happened. I began to be treated differently. I began to feel uncomfortable. I was disrespected. I was talked down to. I was no longer happy. When I learned of the reason why, I was even more astonished. Some people that go to a gym do it to fill a void in their lives. Some do it to feel better about themselves because they come from a hard home life. One of the members came from a hard home life, so I did everything in my power to help them and be there for them. Well the head trainer and girlfriend didn't like that. They didn't like that, because it is something they don't understand and they choose to give the boot to anyone that they don't understand. So their attitude is what caused me to leave and never want to return. If you are looking for a gym that accepts you for you and tries to make you a Better you then this is not the place to be. If you are looking for fun, positive energy, and a gym that is not full of high school drama and pettiness, then this is not the gym for you. If you are looking for a gym that has more members that stay than members that leave, then again this is not the gym for you. If you are looking for worrying on a day to day basis if you fit into the clique or the mold of what the head trainer believes to be, "the ideal gym member, "or enjoy the pettiness of high school then this is the place to be. Make sure you are open and aware when you are here. Be ready for the head trainer to be constantly on the phone, not interested in the class. Be ready for the atmosphere to be open and welcoming, but shift as the months press on. This review may sound bitter, but remember this...I believed in this gym for over 2 years and supported the gym in any way I could. So that has to account for some credibility.

I've been attending Face Year Fears for about 7 months now and could not be happier. I've always worked out but ever since I had my daughter almost three years ago, it has been difficult for me to find a program that not only keeps me motivated, but has helped me change my body back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I was previously at another popular gym in the area, but my husband had been coming to FYF for over 2 years and wanted me to join with him. I saw in FYF what my other gym was lacking and decided to make the move when my contract was up. Since I joined back in October, I've lost between 20-25 pounds, dramatically changed my body composition and have gained strength. I am performing better and looking better than I did pre-pregnancy, and I get to have fun while doing it. Ben is a great trainer and puts his heart and soul into his gym. He personally crafts each work out, and plans out training cycles months in advance. I love this because it assures me that everything we're doing has a rhyme and reason, and there is a purpose to each workout beyond just being there for may daily dose of exercise. I get all the support I need from Ben in terms of attention during class and nutritional guidance. Additionally, I have found the community to be the best of the best. I personally have never been treated anything but kindly by the other members and I am happy to consider them my friends. It's so great having a group of supportive people to work out with, and I love that we are there to help cheer each other on. If you are considering changing gyms or your workout routine, come give this one a chance. You won't regret it!
