Awesome friendly staff. Super accommodating to a drop-in. Even gave me some tips for exploring the city. Gym is clean and has all the essential equipment, plus some specialized pieces that you dont see at every gym.
This box is awesome: I can't recommend it highly enough! Great coaches (got some great tips on my snatch lift) and great members too. Definitely drop in next time you're in Santa Barbara, or join if you live here!

Massive gym, heaps of equipment plus free parking which is a rarity in CA and makes it a much better experience. The staff have always been helpful with any questions and always get greeted with a smile. Definitely recommend this gym!!

Gravitas Fitness has been improving their facility and it's looking pretty nice. They keep expanding and the space is becoming larger over the years. I love that they offer a protein shake bar for either pre or post workouts. Parking is pretty easy too.

I dropped in 3x to this box while in Santa Barbara for a conference. They were wonderful! I am a masters, scaled athlete so dropping in is always a bit nerve wracking to me. They made me feel immediately comfortable. The workouts were great. I felt like I had a bit of family while being so far away from home. I highly recommend this warm, welcoming, kick butt box if you find yourself in Santa Barbara. As an extra bonus, it's woman owned!

I was just dropping in for a workout on my road trip but wish with was my gym. The staff is professional and have a great attitude. The patrons reflected their open and welcoming mentality. I can't wait to stop in again and workout with Dani Russell and her crew.

I have been working with Dani, the owner of Gravitas, for about a year now doing one on one personal training. I initially had imbalances and mobility issues that she worked with and around helping me improve and get stronger at the same time. I have seen greats gains in my overall strength and in my aerobic training. If you want top level training with knowledgable coaches in a fun environment I highly recommend Gravitas Fitness!
Great atmosphere. Was in town visiting family, and had the pleasure to meet the owner Dani. Friendly atmosphere, wasn't intimidating (especially being an outsider) I was introduced to people. It was like a home away from home. They did a great job in coaching adapting to my injuries and showed me some mobility techniques I could do to help with my bum shoulder.
next time I'm in Santa Barbara happy to have a place to drop-in again and recommend family to go to as well!
This place couldn't have been better! I was in town for work, and they were super kind to let me drop in. Dani, the owner, replied to my email immediately, and the classes were awesome, really good programming. She treated me, a drop in, like a full time member, giving great coaching and even helping with some video of my technique. Even better, the members were super friendly and welcoming. Whether living in SB or visiting town, would highly recommend Gravitas. Huge fan, thank you Gravitas!
Forget the traditional GYM! I have been a member here for a few years now and I love showing up throwing down and getting my butt kicked. I learn something new everyday. The coaches are top notch and amazing people that care about your life and your goals. Its not just a gym its a home that surrounds you with people that become family. LOVE THIS PLACE
Gravitas has changed my life. The gym experience is amazing. The workouts are great and the coolest and most unexpected part has been the people...the people are insane in the best way possible from the owners to the coaches to the members you are working out next to. Excellent coaching, very knowledgable and attentive. Strong class design as it hits all levels of experience and rotates through all the skills in a timely manner. The clients are encouraging, helpful, inclusive, and fun.
