Great first time kayaking experience. Adam was a fun, friendly and knowledgeable guide. We're ready to rent and hit the water on our own! Would return for stand up paddle board lesson.
The guys were super nice and informative. The weather was beautiful and my husband and I had a great time. This was our first time kayaking and we're looking forward to doing it again. Our dog (his first time too) also had a great time. We loved looking at the seals, the birds and silver fish. Maneuvering the kayak in the ocean was easier than I thought it would be. I took my back pack with me with my cell phone inside (for pictures) and it was perfectly safe, we all got a little splashed and our bottoms wet. I'd recommend sunscreen and a hat/sunglasses.
My wife and I had a great time on the guided tour. We received a lot of information regarding the history and ecology of the Santa Barbara area. Our guide took us all the way down to the Kelp forest and pointed out a whole host of wildlife indigenous to the area. Well worth the money. Would recommend this to anyone living in or visiting the area.

Santa Barbara's Paddle Sports Center did an amazing job at introducing me to the sport of SUP Boarding! I had the pleasure of taking my first lesson from owner/instructor, Kaya, who did an amazing job of introducing the basics. Not only is she knowledgeable about SUP Boarding, but she's also a marine biologist. I highly recommend visiting SB Paddle Sports Center for lessons and rentals.

Walked in looking to rent a SUP but was advised (rightly so) to take a Kayak instead because of the wind. The kayak was great and the suggested route through the harbour and out into the ocean past shoreline beach and into the kelp forest was great. And to be able to return to a warm shower made it outstanding. Thanks.

I love hanging out and paddling at Paddle Sports Center. The staff is always super helpful and passionate about paddling. They make it easy to get on the water quick because I don't have to worry about transporting gear or boards to and from my house. The harbor has routes to offer for beginner paddlers as well as those looking for a more adventurous and challenging paddle. I recommend a membership to Paddle Sports for all my friends!!!

Me and my two out of state friends had a wonderful time both kayaking and paddle boarding. Best part of the whole thing? Getting within feet of fat and happy sea lions :)
As a world class paddler, I thoroughly enjoy the accessibility to the ocean. The service has always made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I had only paddled a few times and the instruction was great and helpful. Stephanie was upbeat and a delight to see each time I paddle.
