I love Bow Yoga! I have been attending the Tuesday "Ease" class and it has helped me get through a tight IT band problem and a case of frozen shoulder.
I think this is an excellent class for a beginner or for anyone who needs to use some special care in movement.
Oh yeah, I love Julie!!!
Julie is an excellent yoga instructor who understands the workings of the human body and teaches with concern for her students' well being. She's the best I've encountered after participating in many classes at upper end salons.
When I was new to Yoga, Julie was fantastic at making me feel comfortable on the mat. Suffering from lower back pain, I was looking for something to help. After six months of regular yoga with Julie, I no longer have any problems with my back. Julie's classes are small and she gives everyone individual attention. She never pushes folks beyond their comfort zone while still revitalizing mind and body. I wholly recommend Julie's Bow Yoga.
I have been to Julie's sessions as part of the Women's Sailing Program. Her method is very relaxing and she is very attentive to personal needs, ailments and safety. If you are looking to stretch and relax your muscles, her practice is right for you. I am a beginner and she takes special care to gently instruct and observe to make sure that you are comfortable in the positions. A class with her is very peaceful and a welcome transition from harsh sailing conditions or other stressful situations.
Bow Yoga is a special place. Whether you're just easing into yoga for the first time, or ready to take your practice to the next level, I recommend it. Julie gives a lot of personal attention to her students, and the yoga is gentle on your body.
