I have trained BJJ/Gracie Jiujitsu for over 20 years & hold black belts in both BJJ and Judo. Mikyo Riggs has been a training partner on and off for many years. His attention to detail and technique are second to none and has always helped me make improvements to my game. My daughter has been training there the last 5 years and truly enjoys the classes, Coach Andrew does a wonderful job balancing technical instruction with fun time. I would and have recommended MARIN MMA to anyone looking to begin their own or their children's Jiujitsu journey.
I didn't know what was missing in my life until I started training Jiu Jitsu at Marin MMA. Within the first month I knew almost everyone by name.
I have an unusual schedule that has allowed me to take classes at all times of day from early morning to noon to evening. I've developed friendships with my training partners that have gotten me through tough times.
Any day I'm not on the mat I'm thinking about training.
This is more than a gym, it's a family.
Came in for a drop in and had a great experience. The teachers and students were awesome to train with and very friendly and welcoming. Got to roll with Andrew the black belt that taught the jiu jitsu class when I was there. Definitely check it out if you are in the area and looking to train. Great environment and they are legit!

Marin MMA will provide you with all the tools you need to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fully and it has a great group of training partners. There is not a lot of ego with the people who practice there, so you can practice and learn in a safe environment. Like all of the Jiu Jitsu schools in Marin its a decent financial commitment, but for many people, Jiu Jitsu becomes a passion and with commitment you will find value. The kickboxing classes run a little early for my schedule, but some of the regulars look very competent.

"IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!" Marin MMA is a trap. They bill you when you go on vacation, and keep billing you long after you move out of town and have notified them of such. (months)
We are still receiving harassing phone calls from their billing company because we stopped payment on a credit card charge which was made months after our son had stopped attending. We never had this issue with United Studios of Self-Defense, where our son went from age 8 through adult.
Martial Arts Teachers usually care about their students, their lives and situations, and help guide the young developing personalities in a positive way. At the end of the day, Marin MMA falls flat on any integrity, IMHO.
Read the fine print. If you don't notify them in writing, regardless of phone calls or conversations, they will continue to charge you long after you are gone... And will defer all responsibility to their billing company. Sat Nam.

This is a great training center! I feel like i'm part of a Family/Team at Marin MMA. My initial fear before joining a MMA training center was that it would be full of macho egotistical meatheads. Thankfully, I did not find that here. The instructors and students are all great, especially the Professor who is a true role model with a passion for sharing his extensive knowledge in Martial Arts.
After my first free kickboxing training session, I knew that this was the place for me! Training in Muay Thai - Boxing - Kickboxing here has really helped me refocus! If you looking for a fun and exciting workout along with great self defense techniques, drop by and you'll be impressed!
I've been training at Marin MMA for 3 months now and it has renewed my love of martial arts, health, and personal growth. I didn't realize that this was what I was missing in my life. My training at M-MMA has given me a greater drive that goes beyond weight loss, with new life goals and a newfound passion for healthy positive lifestyle. Joining Miko's team has been the best decision I've made as an adult. I can't wait to take my next step and start learning Jiu Jitsu from the best who was trained by- Ralph Gracie!
I look forward to the next decade training here, winning gold medals, carrying on the knowledge and skills of Miko Riggs BJJ!
