I needed a change from the daily cupcake workouts at the gym. Several buddies had been doing crossfit at Heyday and they raved about it. I believed it was a fad at first but the same friends stuck with it and continued to improve their fitness, while enjoying the workouts. After some hesitation, I took the plunge almost 2 years ago and have truly enjoyed the overall benefits. Eddie and Ricky (owners) are solid people that live in the community and genuinely care about the people they train. I am a bigger, slower guy nearing fifty that doesn't need any injuries. These guys push you hard but also recognize the importance of not pushing you to the point of injury. The group concept (usually 4 to 10 in a class) helps to motivate and hold you accountable. The workouts are thoughtful and well planned out, which takes the thinking out of it for me. That part I really enjoy. I also know I will arrive at the gym and get a great workout for the 60 minutes that I am there. I highly recommend Heyday if you are looking for a change, would like to step up the intensity of your daily workouts and improve your overall fitness.
