I'm happy with my gym because I pay what feels like a fair price for the quality and variety of machines and how often I go.
It does get very crowded at popular times, like right after work on week days.
The jaccuzzi routinely gets cloudy and green from bacteria so sometimes you don't want to go in, and repairs take a long time, like the large/handicapped shower head was broken for weeks before they fixed it, and it still is cracked and leaks.
Also this is more because of the people who go to the gym and not the gym itself, but people generally don't wipe down the machines or put weights back, and will steal your stuff if left behind. We've lost a lock and a bathroom bag full of toiletries that were never turned in to lost and found. There are some annoying grunters and weight droppers, weird people in the saunas and locker rooms (one yelling crazy woman in the women's locker, and guys that spit on the floor of the men's sauna according to my husband).
Over all I'm happy with it and get a great work out in I the machines and can go to classes like yoga when I want. But don't expect a ritzy, exclusive gym experience here.
