Andrea was very competent in working with a new student, setting up the horse to assist. Pain, often experienced during exercise, was avoided during this class. Intent on improving health condition, the yoga experience with Andrea was very helpful.
Andrea suggested private sessions with Kathleen to establish adaptations for yoga poses that will be most beneficial to someone with scoliosis.
Andrea's class was also very helpful for more experienced yoga student, providing reminders of some basics posture habits that need improvement - tailbone in, thighs back, shoulders down. Thanks again to Andrea for her instruction.

San Marcos Yoga is Great, I have taken Kathleen's (the owner) class for years along with my mom and a couple friends. Seems like whenever my life gets stressfull I go running back to Kathleen's class, then I slowdown and get refocused on the good stuff in life. For me, her class is a little mental retreat from the day to day. The studio is peaceful and comfortable. She has studied in India, and is really good about not pushing me to much, I can just go at my own pace, and I like that. Kathleen's a real professional, she even went to my mother's house when my mom was going though cancer treatments and couldn't get to the studio easily ,Kathleen did private yoga sessions for her. That was really a nice thing to do,it prompted me to write this review. I recomed San Marcos Yoga. Anne

Finally, a real yoga center in San Marcos, CA. (No more generic community classes at the fitness gym for me!)

I am probably not your typical yoga student, and that's too bad because my yoga practice with Kathleen and Kishore at San Marcos Yoga has really enabled me to perform my job better. I'm a painting contractor and I still paint every day... lot's of reaching, twisting, ladder climbing and working on my knees. I'm also not so young any more, recently achieving the 'double nickel' age status. I'm still a beginner, but San Marcos Yoga keeps me in shape and able to do my job every day, no problem. There is a huge difference in how I feel at the end of my day now, compared to before I started doing yoga. (Dude, I can even touch the floor without bending my knees for the first time in my life!)

Also, the ability to take a class that is taught by another guy is pretty cool.

Great looking yoga center on the inside, easy to get to, lots of parking, very experienced teachers. There's even child-care available in the same building.
