This place used to be awesome, now they've oversold the hell out of it. Impossible to get any of the machines you want. People are working out in every inch of the gym, you can barely walk through without getting whipped in the face by a jump rope. No towels in the locker rooms. Lines for showers. Etc....overall sucks now
Small boutique gym with everything you need to workout
nice place to work out
Nice enough equipment but horrible customer service so far. Today is Monday at 6:15 and while the club is almost empty for the holiday, it is clear the janitorial staff decided to say f@ck it. All three of the Men's toilets looked like they had not been cleaned since Friday and were almost trainspotting disgusting. They never seem to have enough clean towels for the demand (and it's a SMALL club). Just like their south Bay location they always seem to have an excuse but can't deliver as promised. Oh, and good luck even trying to pay for an over priced locker. Instead of installing more where there is clearly room they have a waiting list to pay upwards of $100 a month just for a locker!
I've been a member of Bay Club for about 6 months now, and I had really high hopes for the club due to its upscale amenities and features. It also seemed like it was better managed than some other clubs in the area--but I was 100% wrong on that front. It looks nice, after the renovation, but there's too many issues to count and management just can't seem to resolve them (Despite multiple conversations with GM Jennifer Lythgoe and even some Bay Club VPs):
-Hot water in the men's locker room has been consistently unavailable for weeks at a time for the past 3+ months. I've reported the issue 10+ times at this point, and its clear they have no desire to resolve it.
-The men's locker room is dirty, all the time. There's used towels all over the locker room (some sopping wet), used razors in the showers at times, and its clear basic upkeep is simply not a priority for this club. I've reported this to the GM a few times now and have not seen any improvement whatsoever. To be clear, I'm no clean freak--it's just plain dirty.
-Machines will disappear for weeks at a time with no indication of what happened to them. I asked the GM to put a sign up so at least the members know what's happening--i.e. if the machine is being removed or simply fixed. Her response was she's not going to tape a sign to the floor, which is just plain ridiculous. Just put a sign up on the wall...
-When I rented a locker, they gave me a locker/key to another member's locker. Kind of defeats the purpose of a LOCKer.
-Replies from EVERYONE take multiple followups before I even get an initial reply. This includes membership services, personal trainers, tennis lessons--almost everyone I've talked to. As of this writing there's at least three people I have yet to hear back from. In one instance, I emailed him close to two months ago and have yet to hear back.
Like I said, I really had high hopes for this club, and I probably stuck with it for a lot longer than I should have as a result. It's clear to me now that this particular Bay Club doesn't really care about their members one bit, which is a shame because they have a nice set of amenities, and I love some of their instructors (Shoutout to Willi and Hillary, they are truly awesome).
My advice? Don't bother, plenty of other nice gyms in the area that actually care, especially at this price point.

They are currently renovating so it's very uncomfortable. I will update this review once they are done with the remodel.

The location is currently under renovation. Management works really hard to make the guest experience top notch. Recommended if you work in San Francisco's Financial District.

Going through renovation. Will be great when done.
I work there as a trainer, so I'm biased, but it's wonderful. Posh locker rooms, privacy, and it's totally open.
One note... it's a downtown club so it is NOT open on weekends. M-F 5AM till 9PM. Ask for Sean. :)
Very dull
This club is ok. Yoga program lacks empowerment,
Eh its ok. Small tiny gym, but great amenities like fabulous locker rooms, spa, steam rooms, etc.
