The boot camp style work out here is AMAZING! I've done a bunch of classes at different studios from spin to yoga, and this one (specifically the thread and shred class with Michael g) is the best one I've taken.

You work out so much harder than you'd expect and then after you feel exhausted but great!

Crazy ass workout - they work you hard until you can't go anymore. Just wish they'd not turn the music to eardrum burst levels.

This place definitely exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be just another bootcamp or pilates studio in a (sometimes) not so great location (depends who's hanging around outside), but it was much better. I sometimes feel intimidated by places like that, but I found this one to be unassuming and welcoming as soon as I walked in.

It's located conveniently near 16th St BART station, which is good for convenience, but not so great because it seems to be a regular hang out spot.

The inside, as soon as you walk in, is gorgeous with a small retail section, large front desk (with free towel rentals) and shiny new studios :) I believe they only opened about 7 months or so ago, so the studios and the equipment are still all spanking new.

I'm not much of a bootcamper, but after seeing the bootcamp studio in the back, I'm excited to try one of their classes. There's a bunch of treadmills along the side and steps and other equipment scatter throughout - but not really scattered. It's actually very organized ;)

The pilates studio is visible as soon as you walk in. I was nervous about my first pilates class here since I have never used a springboard before, but the instructor Kyle was really patient with all the students and gave very descriptive instructions on how to set up the board and what types of things you should keep in mind for safe alignment.

Needless to say, I'll be back here for more soon!

Took my first Rogue and Saint 1:20 minute class this past Saturday.

Location: Really hard to find parking. It's on Mission street, and it's not in the best area of the Mission either...

Workout: I did the Rogue Signature Body class which is 1:20. First of all, the instructor started the class 10 minutes late. if this was on a week day, that would have been terrible! Second of all, he split the class up with partners and asked us to pick our own. Then, he switched everyone up - which was a waste of time and a waste of our effort if we had to pick our own partners, and then he would switch us up any way.

I had to go on the treadmill first, and my instructor did NOT do a good job at telling the treadmill folks what incline, what speed, etc. He focused his efforts on the people on teh floor and when he gave them a countdown, he didn't tell the treadmill people what to do. So we would essentially match the floor countdown, and then he would chastise us for 'resting' when we shouldn't be resting (but he didn't tell us what to do). Also he asked us to sprint for 3 minutes. That's not a sprint - that's just a fast run. No one can spring for 3 minutes - I think that was absurd.

But, I did feel the workout the next day.

However - I would go to Barry's instead. Better instructors, better location, and MUCH better direction from the teachers.

Do you want to get your butt kicked into gear? This is the place. I've taken both pilates and bootcamp classes here and thought that I was going to die (in a good way) after each one. The studio is clean, up to date and really cool looking. The owner and front desk staff have always been fantastic and welcoming. The studio is also conveniently located less than a block away from BART.

Took my first Rogue and Saint 1:20 minute class this past Saturday.
