Justin Grinius has been insightful and eager to help me overcome a decade of chronic low back and hip pain, as well as a shoulder injury that mounted in the months after a significant bike and then knee-boarding accident that turned my life upside down. After one session it was clear to me that the subtle strengthening of smaller muscles and core area was going to be targeted in a way that group pilates classes hadn't been able to. I spent the first 36 hours after our initial private session being pain-free, which was remarkable and unheard of for me in many years. I love the feeling of traction and weightlessness which occurs in moments at Red Cord studio, and will be returning as often as I can afford to in order to relearn new pathways and muscle-use and get me out of chronic pain for good.
I've been working with Justin for about 6 weeks to address muscle imbalance and compliment physical therapy as I was healing from a hip injury. I was SHOCKED at how effective this treatment is and learned so much from Justin about my muscle patterns. He helped me identify and then re-pattern the way that my body was compensating for weakness in certain muscle groups. And it happened incredibly quickly.
Fun fact --> if you are lacking strength in your inner thighs, guess what? You neck muscles start to compensate, leading to back and neck pain. I learned that after years of wearing heels that my glutes, hamstrings, and inner thigh muscles had basically atrophied and were causing back and neck tension. I was in physical therapy for this for several months and it was only moderately addressed. I visited Justin several times and it was fully addressed.
I'm now so much more aware of my posture, movements, and able to connect to my muscles. In addressing my hip injury, Redcord was an amazing complement that helped me to progress much more quickly. My spots medicine doctor and physical therapists were amazed with the rate of my recovery.
All a long winded way of saying - do it. You're going to learn a ton about your habits and movement. And you don't need to be seriously injured to get something out of it.
Justin is a rare gem. He is talented and the only one I would trust to do Redcord in the state of California. He is able to focus exactly on what you need and decrease pain and maximize function. As a medical professional, I fully endorse him and his Redcord technique for all orthopedic/soft tissue injuries that prevent you from living your life the way you want.
I have taken 7 training sessions with Justin so far to improve my core strength and increase my flexibility and mobility. I am blown away at the improvement already. Justin's expertise and knowledge of anatomy are incredible. The exercises he chooses for me each session are always right on target. He watches every movement I perform with a discerning eye ensuring I'm doing it correctly and getting the most benefit from each exercise. I highly recommend checking him out. You won't be disappointed.

I've been looking for years the right kind of training and safe work outs that would fit my particular disability needs. Safe to say I've never had more effective workout/treatment than RedCord. Justin is very detail oriented, careful about my disabilities and needs, upbeat, creative, punctual, and energetic. He knows when to push me and just how much. Every session has been very rewarding for me and has reshaped my body despite the disabilities for so much better movement, balance, and confidence. Glad to have met Justin since he's the best and most attentive trainer yet so far.

Great for injury rehab especially issues with the spine. Redcord provides a unique way to offload the body, isolate various parts of the body, activate deep core stabilizers and get kinetic chains of energy firing. Justin takes his time to evaluate your body and find weaknesses, then builds up a plan to strengthen those weaknesses. Definitely worth your time and money.
