Been working with Lisa for about three years now and if you are disciplined and patient enough she does wonders. Highly recommend her
Amazing treatment! Dr. Mae Li fixed my arm pain in one ART and chiropractic visit yesterday. I'm so happy to have no arm pain this morning after 3 months of waking up to agony. I highly recommend this wonderful talent.
Fitwell ROCKS! This practice is so much more than simply adjusting your back or neck (although Dr Covey is exceptional at that too). She focuses on all aspects of the discomfort, including the surrounding muscles, range of motion, and body mechanics in solving the mystery of why something hurts.
I came to Fitwell with what I thought was a swimming injury to my left arm. I'd seen an Orthopedist who told me "nothing's torn, take Ibuprofen, rest". Well, that didn't work.
Dr Covey took time to understand the pain- asking a million questions and listening carefully to me as I tried to explain when, where and how it hurt. Long story short, she solved the mystery. It wasn't caused by swimming but instead by the hours in front of a computer at work. Since my neck muscles were tight, I couldn't turn my head, which impacted how I swam, which put stress on my arm. Genius!
Fitwell also provides massage therapists. Arnold dela Cruz is extremely knowledgeable about muscles, tendons, and how to reclaim some of that range of motion that age steals from you.
Parking is easy. Unlike other chiropractic offices, they don't hound you to schedule unnecessary appointments, or try to sell accessories to make more money. Fitwell is a clean, professionally run business. I highly recommend them!
I was referred to Fitwell several years ago. The treatment that I had been receiving from another doctor helped, but I still needed adjustments every 2 weeks. I came to Fitwell and Dr. Covey began using ART (Active Release Technique) with me. It did wonders for my condition. She noted that my recurring pain was a result of some of the deep back muscles not holding the adjustment in place. To correct this, she suggested that I also try Pilates to focus on strengthening those deep core muscles. The combination of ART and Pilates has been exactly what I needed. Now I visit Dr. Covey only for routine maintenance every couple of months and continue to do Pilates every week. In addition to being an excellent chiropractor, Dr. Covey listens well and genuinely cares about her clients' well-being.
I also visit Fitwell to take Pilates from Gabi. She is a great addition to Fitwell because she brings excellent skills and the same genuine interest in her clients that Dr. Covey has. Gabi tells you how specific movements should feel, not look, and that makes all the difference in your ability to do them correctly and remember them in the future.
I've raved about both Dr. Covey and Gabi to many of my friends and would not hesitate to send anyone to Fitwell.
Dr. Covey took great care of me!!
Lisa Covey has been treating me for years. I break, she fixes me. When I had a severe ham string injury Lisa got me to my sports (dog agility) national championships and onto the podium. Now I go for tune-ups and I don't break so much anymore. Everyone at Fitwell works hard to get you what you need when you have need. And the parking is really pretty good too :)
