Our daughter has been in the USSD Martial arts San Clemente program for 4 years now! There is truly a family like atmosphere here. One thing I noticed is that other dojos give away belts way to fast. Here they acutely teach you and my daughter feels so accomplished with each belt earned. AND they make it FUN!
Great Training! Great environment and atmosphere. Will be taught how to self defend and to be a better fighter.
Sensi Richard is an egotistical bully. He calls his students names and puts them down. Not what I paid for. My child comes home humiliated because he says Sensi Richard is a bully. I say what?
My child told me I am wasting my money. So, after 9 months, I pulled my kid out of class.
No way to run a dojo. Look elsewhere.

We love USSD Martial Arts. We tried four other places in San Clemente before we chose USSD, we liked them the best because they seemed to be the only "real" place for our boys to learn. They provide instruction, discipline and fun, the kids really have to work hard and learn respect-they don't "give out" belts. The other places didn't match this dojo on any level.
United Studios of Self Defense has been a positive influence in my life and joining this organization has been one of the best decisions I have made. USSD has given me the confidence and humility to help place me on a responsible path. Increased health, grades and personal character are just a few of the things that I benefited from while enrolled at United Studios. USSD is (student focused) and this has earned them a student for life. The benefits to martial arts are almost endless and United Studios is the best organisation to offer those benefits.

Watch out for the short Mexican Angelica at the front desk. She is extremely rude, unprofessional and needs to be fired and / or deported south immediately!!!

Our son found a home with USSD for many years. The instruction was stellar and disciplined, yet supportive and encouraging. Or son learned martial arts, as well as the philosophy behind them. He also learned how to approach any obstacles or challenges in life. His experience with Mika and Richard was amazing and prepared him for an amazing life. I cannot recommend USSD strongly enough!
