Best basketball gym in Salinas 5 am Tuesday and Thursdays are great
I have had numerous great experiences in the past as a member at this YMCA. That being said, the management has completely gone downhill in the later half of 2018 and the beginning of 2019. The fact that they have limited their hours on Saturdays is HILARIOUS. The staff and badly trained. 0/10 will not be giving them my business again.
in 2016 one of my friends was getting water from the back and the staff let him but the manger that is blonde was very mean because she said if he got water again then they were going to call the cops. this lady never let my friend go back to the gym because is got some water in the back which is not right to do very mean mangers that are really mest up. i don't recommend this gym :(
I had given a higher rating to the SALINAS YMCA in the past, but unfortunately times change. I have recently canceled my membership because I am so unhappy with the way they are running things right now. Very sad.

On June 20 20018 my car keys were stolen from my gym bag my car was gone stolen along with wallet cell phone Monterey PD has recovered my wallet and one person arrested still no sight of my car staff was no help sorry to report no camera on sight not good do to the fact kids activity are held here a another wallet stolen a few weeks before mine and a woman car gone to all happen inside the YMCA being a veteran trying to cope With all of this I like this place let everyone know Obviously there is a thief coming inside this place ! Very disappointed shedules have changed every day since it was suppost to start and now my son hasnt played 2 of the games doesnt even know his team mates nor his coach!! Not coming back nor do i recommend..

Cardio equipment constantly down. If the pool or Spa is going to be out of commission Post-it on website Facebook something please. date and times so we know and not show up with yellow tape everywhere..

too many over coddled unhygienic attention-thirsty narcissist creep guys in their teens/20s who pig the place up with noise & messes. You'd be better off buying your own equipment, and wouldn't need earplugs & a HAZMAT Suite like you do here because of the entitled trashy ignorant loud Salinas People & their kids who frequent this place.

Best price in town for all the features of the gym. However because of this it is often over crowded.
Since they are a "non-profit organization" they don't focuse in the community that they served ....no spanish speaking staff....very rude with the english learner speakers...Im very sad...they don't know the comunity...
NOt affordable!!! At 50$ Just for Joining Fee, and 70$ a month. Terrible, Most people cannot afford This. Half the staff: Incompetent, including management. Membership does not have it advantages, Unless your wealthy. No helping our community because they think we're too poor!!! Also, does not help the elderly. Terrible!
