Love CFF - go everyday and enjoy the staff and my workouts!

I love CalFIT, perfect place for a disabled person to workout or just strengthen the leg muscles and upper body if you are in a wheelchair like me. The hydrotherapy bed is unbelievable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I love the Sunrise and antelope location in Citrus Heights. My teen athlete loves to workout and play basketball there (even though that's not his sport LOL)

1st thing 1st, Alex is super cool employee.
They gotten better on keeping gym clean, day care is not good compared to other CFF places. So my wife is forced to drive to Roseville.
I like the gym though, not big not small and got everything I need. I wish they would offer
Protein smoothies as some other branches.

Changing 1 star to two because at least they listen to their reviews, And started to change sauna rules, they have post on their steam room no shoes on now, which before they didn't had ....but their dry sauna doesn't have that rule and so people come with stinky shoes into dry sauna......and you can smell rubber and nasty smell of their socks .....but in steam room it got better than before, although not as clean as Rocklin ca gym,
Members come in with dirty shoes on and everyone ends up breathing their sweaty dirty shoes, problem is that staff doesnt enforce rules of No Dirty Shoes Allowed. It be good if they would have a policy "no shoes allowed in both saunas period" also they need showers in their pool area like they have in natomas gym.

If this place listens and strongly enforces clean saunas rules, and change their dry sauna to NO SHOES PERIOD, only flip flops or bear feet allowed, I will change my review to 5 stars

Child care at this gym gets 5 stars. The ladies in the child care are so awesome. They are very attentive to the children, my daughter loves them. I honestly couldn't ask for better care for my daughter.

The gym however gets zero stars. It is seriously a disaster every day. Nothing is ever cleaned up on the gym floor. The people here have no gym etiquitte, they workout off the racks (cause that's how you do it in the movies). They leave their dumbbells in the walkway. Re-racking is un-heard of at Cal fit. Cable attachments are all over the floor like it's confetti. The personal trainers walk right past all of this time after time. I have currently seen a workout ball and platform stacks in the walkway for over an hour now (That's actually what has inspired this post.)

If it wasn't for the child care I would honestly never workout here. (Brian's cool though.)

Robert in management was very rude to me over the phone today. So much so that I am cancelling my membership and switching to planet fitness. Bye! It's been a less than pleasant 3 years with this gym.

I used to be a member. I enjoyed my classes and worked out a lot. I only stopped due to my chronic illness. I want to join again but spoke to a Bryan on the the telephone and he was pushy and rude.
I remember the place had a high staff turnover....maybe Ill join another gym until I hear he's no longer in management?

Stopped by here because l had never been to this one yet. Everything was easy to see from the front as soon as you come in and easy to get to. Ladies' locker room was clean also showers were clean with of plenty of hot water, shampoo, and conditioner. Would come to this one again.

I was never thrilled with the facility itself but I joined Cal Fit in Sept 2016 to work with Max a personal trainer my sister loved. In May 2017 I received disappointing notice that Max would no longer be working for the company...so I went in and spoke with Sales Manager Vince to let him know that I had no interest in working with any other trainers and NOT to continue to charge me for personal training sessions. Vince informed me he would take care of things and promised to follow up. HOWEVER not only did he not follow up or return my phone calls but allowed a CHARGE for another month to process when I was already owed a refund for unused training sessions. Needless to say I will no longer be a member and will be notifying my bank that California Fitness STEALS money from customers!

I believe this may be my first ever negative review on Google. This place deserves it.

I was looking for a gym to join for one month, one with a pool as I have chronic pain and swimming is the best exercise for me. I informed the sales rep that I would be leaving the country after a month, so I didn't want to be a member for any longer than that. I was led to believe that was no problem.

Then, after being in the Netherlands for two months, I looked at my bank account to see membership charges from the gym. Suddenly the money I was going to use for food was gone.

After hours spent phone calling and emailing, I was finally able to get the yearly fee and one month refunded.
But they refused to refund all of my money. They still charged me a monthly membership fee for a month when I wasn't even in the country! Despite leading me to believe I wouldn't be paying it in the first place.
And when I contacted corporate and told them I was overseas, and this was my food money for the rest of my time there, they didn't even have the decency to respond.

What a terrible company! I'm back in California now, and will make sure to never use CFF again.

My experience has been good up to yesterday where the sales manager dropped the ball on notifying me about a recent addition to my membership, and my wife was dropped from my account. Corporate bears no culpability and makes the sales manager at fault for not notifying me of certain requirements not being satisfied before dropping my wife from my membership. Mind you she has been going everyday since 3/18 when she was added, given a card and checking in with no issues. So I contacted the assistant sales manager since the sales manager was out and she said she needed to call corporate. A tennis match is not cool when youre the ball. It says a lot about what's important versus who is important, especially when the club and corporate are local.

1star for steam room and thats the only reason why i signed up for this gym, and their steam room is always dirty and it stinks, seems like its never being cleaned. It be good if they would have a policy "no shoes allowed period"

They only pick up the phone to just to put you on hold and never come back.
I'd rather go elsewhere more worthy of my money.
Management needs to tell the idiots at front desk to practice their customer service skills.
