3.8 is a fair score for this gym. We like trainer Myles. The other trainer we liked left for unknown reasons. The staff at the desk are usually ineffective for whatever communication i give them. I see machines getting repaired and occasionally replaced, but sometimes it takes a while. There is always a wide range of equipment available, like exercise balls and steps and free weights. The pool and spa filtration system seems under powered, but it has improved over 6 months ago. Back then the foam in the spa had dirty peaks. Now there is less foam and it looks clean. The wide range of classes and times is great. Overall cleanliness is pretty good, and i like the foam cleaner and hand sanitizer that are always available, as well as the soap dispensers in the showers. They have lifts to get handicapped people into the pool and spa. They, and other gyms could use a shower where an assistant of either gender could be with a handicapped person. Also, they don't present all the pricing options until you say no a few times. More straight forward sales tactics would be appreciated.
Worst customer service ever tried trying out the gym with a 15 day pass which usually takes 5 minutes to process it took 45 minutes for the person to try to force me into signing up that day. He was telling if your not serious about signing up today why do you need to wait 15 days to be sure about making your goal. It was a goal he made for me not what I wanted
I am having a great time here so far. I love using the bikes. I lost my keys today and the cool staff (McKayla) helped me look in lost and found. Also thank you to the kind stranger who turned the keys in. :)
People there do what they do
Open space. Clean. Treadmills and other equipment don't have fans.
I get a guest pass and they tell me to wait 30min for the guy and that I still have to go through an assessment and tour what happened to an actual guest pass where u test it for a few days it's only one email per pass anyway. Liked my current gym better though

Decent gym, but the amount of people here is crazy. I've tried different days, different hours, and still can't find a slot with less people.
I suggested "cold water station or ice" in this Riverside weather. Still nothing and they have been open for a while. A lot of LA fitnesses had updated their water fountain. Still none of theirs has cold water. Where can I donate to this gym so they can have cold water or buy a new water fountain station? Unbelievable lack of consideration in scorching summer heat of Riverside. Management, please this is essential, do something.

Love the gym, but don't like the hours, wish it was open earlier in the morning.
The machines are good. I just don't like that they close at 11:00 pm and that they don't clean as often .
My husband and I had a very bad experience with customer services. if anyone from the management is interested to know what happened get back to us.
Good location, decent selection of equipment... however this place is out of control...do nothing staff, trash everywhere, hard to find a pair of matching dumbbells , snobby people and those who think they own the place(I would hate to see how they live if they treat this gym the way they do). I only come here if I go to Kaiser because its right across the street. So if the above review doesn't bug you then be my guest. Enjoy

Sure I said I hate this location but you would think it would change over the course of a few weeks after a call to corporate. Gym is cleaner and that's all that has changed as I can tell(but that's today as of 10am)Same obnoxious people, same dumbell situation, staff mingle at there desks. You would think people would have common sense to keep the emergency exit clear of weights or working out in front of it. but staff doesn't care after they were told and I guess neither should i. Last time I come here for sure and corporate will get another phone call...if this doesn't bother other members then dont complain about your dues going up, equipment breaking, dumbbells missing or burning up in a fire or shot up in a shooting because the fire exit was blocked...

Usually clean. But the air conditioning was out for three days. Hmmm other then that it's ok
Not very good the second week of been going there all my belonging from the locker were stolen. That to some other guys too.
LA Fitness have state-of-the-art equipment I really enjoyed going here to get a good workout. The swimming pool is always nice and clean. In the locker room for over 5 months, I've been telling them about the roaches. You don't want to leave your GYM bag open, in the Locker room area. Because roaches will get in your bags, and go home with you!! I check my bag before I leave the GYM. It's really sad that they let this new place run down,with roaches. There to cheap to spend money on a , exterminator!!

1st time experience experience is not very present. The employees here are very rude and not very manner. The guy at the counter was nice but the two ladies there must had a stick up their thing or something. I'll would avoid this la fitness if possible Hailey and Christina was a totally b!tcg to deal. I'll will be reporting this to corporate as soon as I'll wake up tomorrow. Those two ladies need to take a class to be a better at their job as a customer service employee! If I'll could rate this 0 star I'll would cause I'll felt ill was not welcome and no one should ever feel like this at a gym!
Go to any other LA fitness but this one. The location is very nice and well maintained. However, from the moment you walk in the sales people and managers all stare at you. It's just very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I wanted to use my free 7 day trial with my boyfriend and they sent us with a girl named Ally and when I tried to redeem she did the whole sales ploy on me, they say oh let me have all your information so we can know you better and we'll take a tour and then you can use your pass, and when we finished they didn't give us the pass they just kept trying to sell us then they found out I was 17 so my mom had to come in and sign a "waiver" for me to use the pass, so I take my mom in and they do the entire sales ploy AGAIN. And my mom falls for it and oddly enough they never asked her to sign this "waiver". I know that they wanted my mom to come in purely because they wanted to sell to her not for my safety. So my mom talked to friends who also have LA fitness memberships and she instantly felt scammed because all of them had way cheaper initiation fees and cheaper monthly prices. My mom tries to cancel my membership, like they said we could do at any time, and it was horrible. Instantly the sweet kind Ally that helped us turned into such a rude person. Her and her supervisor both refused to cancel my membership and refund her money. My mom had to go to corporate office of LA fitness and weeks later, she FINALLY got her money back. She eventually went to the San Bernardino LA fitness and got a lot better of a price, didn't feel pressured and was so much sweeter. I'm so bummed that this is my nearest LA fitness so I have to drive out of the way if I want to feel comfortable when I work out but whatever it's worth it not to be stared at and gossiped about by rude employees!
I don't really like this gym. If you come to this gym beware of the sales people. They will try to sell you the personal trainer classes whatever way they can. They will try and sway you and won't take no for an answer....to the point where it just gets annoying. You will get pitched with these sales at least 3 times during your workout. Also as a person who fell for their trick...trust me it is NOT worth it!! They charge me $180 for 4 classes per month.... they say it's only 4 but that the trainer is suppose to give you workouts for when you go in without him or her...but they don't....when I was being pitched the rep. Said he could get his manager to lover the price after I told him no cuz I have no money since I'm a college student...he brought his manager over and the lady basically said she could add two bonus classes per week. Then she said sign here...I felt trapped so I signed knowing it was a bad idea since no where in the contract it said anything about the extra classes. Any way later on they refused even mentioning extra classes and when I tried to get out of it they wouldn't let me. I've tried 3 dif. Times to get out of the contract and they don't let me...they give me vague answers and try to sway me into staying in the classes longer. Oh and just so you know they change their managers CONSTANTLY!!! Like once a month....I believe it's because they get there...scam people and before those people could go and yell at them they leave...that way by the time you go in they have the whole "oh that person doesn't work here" excuse....the new manager will usually then lead with the whole "I'm not like them" "I'm sorry that happened to you" line...seriously DON'T go to this gym...and if you do don't fall for their tricks...they will try to charm you and scam you!!!! Oh and they close and open rather early/late....
The workers are very kind and greet you right away with a smile and make you feel welcomed.There is plenty of machines to use when some that you want are taken. Definetley reccomend this gym and this exact location. Also, they keep it very clean which is great.
I used to go to work out, and I went recently thinking it would be the same. Its not. People were dressed up in FANCY clothing and seem as if they were doing fake exercises. Also everyone I know who goes there has gotten their car broken into..
