I like they have basketball and racquetball and my partner loves Zumba
We've been at this gym for 6 years and think it's one of the best in town. It has has everything you need (cardio, free weights, classes, racquetball, pool/sauna/hot tub and child care) and the owner and employees are all kind people. The day care ladies that I interact with (morning team) are AMAZING and I trust them fully with my children. Despite the negative reviews left by Erica and Johnathan Jones, this is a good gym that works hard to provide good services. Their reviews are without merit and vindictive rubbish.
Love it here. Nice vibe. Load of equipment. A member of 7 months now. The sauna and jacuzzi is why I got my membership here. I love that it's mostly older people. Got a discount for being in school and a being a couple. The staff are chill. The child care is very convenient!

I love Shasta Athletics. There's not many gyms in Redding with a hot tub and pool. Great place to work out too. They've got everything you'll need.

Very well equipped gym. Staff very very friendly and professional and the cost of membership is reasonable.

Been here a year and have seen the gym in a steady decline. Broken equipment not repaired, equipment not maintained, dirty, men's showers rarely have soap dispensers filled, no working, accurate scales, recent new lighting nice but amateurishly done. When I see a piece of equipment that needs attention I immediately tell staff but not once has the issue been dealt with. To bad. A gym with potential is going to shambles.... I will not renew.

Never failed on the weekends where the "racquetball" crowd would have to say something about our music, or about our court reservation. Heavily disrespected on multiple occasions and always by the same ill-mannered people, always getting the same result, which is no solution by management. After a while, it becomes ignominious to have to deal with such detestable behavior. I guess being a long-time member allows you to open the door and enter the racquetball court during the middle of someone else's game (EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE) is the standard that this gym lives by. I hope that this review will shine some light on this issue, and for these reasons is why I will never attend this gym again.
Although this gym appears dated, the staff, the facilities, and the diverse array of amenities are head and shoulders above what the rest of Redding offers. Highly recommend to students as well!
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are also currently upgrading their equipment. They have two floors of equipment, huge weight room, jacuzzi, spa, pool and weights outside as well.
