Great workout experience if you're looking for a well rounded full body workout with friendly trainers and members. The workouts usually involve multiple stations that you rotate through and target the whole body. I'm primarily a runner, so it was fun to mix it up and do more strength training than I normally do in my training. Two thumbs up!

They deserve these 5 Starts. I was part of Luma Fitness for a short time and lost quite a few pounds. If it weren't for relocating to another city I would have reached my goal of losing 120 Lbs. Really great trainers and friendly atmosphere. I'd recommend Luma Fitness to anyone in Petaluma desiring to lose weight and stay fit. I'd join them again if I were to move back to Petaluma. I'm in my 40s.

I used to have a hip problem which made it painful to run and since starting Luma Fitness it has gone away. The trainers are encouraging, knowledgeable and know how to bring the best out of you. It is a very fun atmosphere and I love the community aspect of the gym. They offer a few different types of classes that meet everyone's needs and y have a two week free trial so you can decide if you want to join

Luma Fitness is a great alternative to a conventional gym. The small class size and variety of workouts make it fun and effective. I like the online reservation system. Once I sign up I feel compelled to make the class because it is scheduled into my day. On that note, I usually sign up the day of or just hours before I actually commit to making the gym. If a class is full...I add myself to the waitlist and always get in because of others who have scheduled the class in advance and then canceled. I think this is a great local business and I am happy to support Luma Fitness (and get my butt kicked)!

Love this gym. The instructors are great. In 50 minutes you get a full body workout, they are never the same and the class environment is what motivates me to get through the class. I would never push myself or get these type of workouts on my own. The people in the classes are friendly and it's the best way to get in shape. Thank you Luma!

Good workouts but too much high impact for my arthritis. Very much not happy that they have automatic payments without notifying you. I had stopped going and they kept charging. I assumed they would notify me before charging. Appartently automatic payments are in the contract I signed but I was unaware of it.

I really like several aspects of Luma.
1. You have to schedule your workouts in advance. For me, that means it is in my calendar and other parts of my life do not get to take that time.
2. The classes are small enough for the trainer to observe your work but large enough that you have some autonomy.
3. You take a class, and then get out of there. There are no gym "hanger ons" watching people workout.
4. My competitive streak comes out during class which keeps me from quitting when it is tough. :)
5. That being said, when the exercise is too strenuous for me, there is always a modification I can do.
6. I can do Pull Ups!

I highly recommend Luma. They offer a 2 week free trial...go for it!

I've been going to Luma for over a year now, and it's been the best workout/gym experience ever! The instructors are all awesome, very helpful and friendly. They push you hard without being intimidating. They watch and coach your form. But most importantly they mix it up and have fun. No two workouts are alike which keeps it interesting.

I do a mix of scheduling classes during the popular times (evenings and weekends), and just dropping in during less popular times (mornings and noontime). The advance scheduling is great because its in my calendar and motivates me to actually attend. I've attended over 100 classes last year and RARELY had an issue scheduling classes if you do so a week or two out. And when classes have been full, I signed up on the waitlist and I've almost always gotten in due to others cancelling. The other review claiming they were only able to attend 10 classes during a year is a total joke - you have to really not try at all to attend only 10 classes.

I highly recommend Luma Fitness. They offer a 2 week free trial...go for it!

Oh, and buck furpees!
