Amity is a great box - the coaches here are fantastic and are really dedicated. They walk you through all aspects of the movements and are knowledgeable about any modifications you might need. Definitely one of the best Crossfit gyms I've been to!
Absolutely love this place. Aaron is an awesome coach, and the gym environment is very inclusive and supportive. It feels like one big family in every class. Good vibes all around! Don't believe the "one star" reviews here on Google - the same person (who got his car towed by the property owner, not Aaron, for being stupid/ignoring signs) keeps creating different aliases and leaving asinine reviews. And he was never even a member of the gym! Some people, man...
I enjoyed the first few months at Amity, but when I needed to pause and then cancel my membership, the owner (Aaron) was unresponsive and chose to bill my credit card for several months after despite my repeated requests to the contrary. I've reported it to the credit facility and Better Business Bureau. I wouldn't trust Amity with my credit card information again.

Aaron does not even deserve that! He still owes me a refund that never paid me off for cancelling my membership due to relocation. He has done this to other people.

A "Losers' Nest" is the most appropriate name that I can come up with for this business/owner who are very very opinionated owner(s); they both(AARON RYAN & Zack ?)are stick-in-the-mud know-it-all drug infested "muscle builders" but with little or no brain!!
At first you get the warm welcome impression not knowing that they are ONLY aiming at your wallet. I will NEVER step into this place again and have learned my lesson not to judge a book by its cover. STAY AWAY from this outfit.
By the way, don't be fooled by the "high ratings" herein. I bet you $1,000 they are mostly fake or bonus-driven reviews from a handful of people willing to "sell" their dignity in exchange for a trivial bribe.

Excellent! Coaches are skilled, friendly, and attentive. Plenty of space. Good equipment. Staff focuses on safety, inclusivity, and helping athletes reach their goals.

Amazing Crossfit experience!
I've been doing CrossFit for several years, and the coaching and programming at Amity is the best I've seen. It's also great that there is a CrossFit gym right in Palo Alto. I definitely recommend Amity.
Zack & Sarah are two of the best coaches any athlete could have. The programming is balanced to focus on fitness and strength without pushing into the injury zone. Technique is a priority, and hard-work is commonplace. The community is supportive and strong, and all the classes have a variety of skill/athletic levels represented. Zack is a true professional, with an unwavering mission to provide the highest quality experience. It is definitely worth dropping in to workout. More than likely you'll want to stay for more than just one...

I've been at Amity for just over a year now and have only praise for the gym. Zack and Sarah, the trainers, have a keen eye for weaknesses and combine emphasis on form with encouragement to push harder. I wanted to move from solely cardio fitness to explosive strength, and with the well designed/challenging workouts and community of like-minded folks, I now move much better and am on my way to building the strength I didn't have. I notice a massive improvement in other sports I participate in, and my mental reserves to push myself are increasing as well. I find myself out of excuses to skip a day unless work absolutely demands it. Music playlists are great too, which is a plus.
