One of the best yoga studios in the entire Bay Area!! Fantastic instructors and well run.
First and foremost, I love the yoga teachers I found at Namaste. I really appreciate how the two teachers I took classes with, Baxter and Dominick, integrate science-based research into their classes. Highlights: Baxter really focuses on honoring each students individual abilities, learns his students' names and gives great verbal instruction. Dominick incorporates a lot of talk about coping with anxiety and sometimes weaves in fun synchronized dance-like flows to music. Overall, Namaste is a little pricey but worth for the high-quality teachers and studio space.
Best yoga class I have taken in a long time. Well planned and the poses were explained well. Have been out of yoga for a while and the explanations and the quick individual guidance was very helpful. It happened to be my birthday and the instructor knew that. She had everyone sing Happy Birthday while were all in plank position. Once in a lifetime event for sure, still laughing about it! Thank you Margi Young!
Easy to get to, roomy, good light, quiet studio, lot's of diversity with classes, times and teachers.
This is a really lovely studio with solid consistent yoga classes. I really enjoy the practice space and have found all the classes I've taken to be excellent.
Namaste offers a great variety of classes. I really enjoy the instructors and staff here. The layout of the 2 studios is a little wierd and make crowded classes a bit challenging.

Lovely selection of extras: books, clothes, jewelry, deities and props.
The one complaint I have is the class passes have an expiration date which is difficult if you travel, have kids or any kind of schedule where you can't guarantee attendance but still want to get the discounted rate on classes. If you want to drop-in, it's a steep $25. So it would be 5 stars, but I've dropped down to 3 because classes you purchase have an expiration-- even though you've still paid for them. This makes no sense.

Namaste Rockridge rocks! I'm just beginning my practice and find NR to be welcoming, warm and encouraging. The 4 instructors Ive had so far have been experienced, fun, helpful and just really great for a beginner like me. I'm inspired to keep going and am looking forward to all the mind/body benefits to come.
I have practiced yoga around the world and this is one of the most wonderful studios I have been a member of. The teachers are kind, gentle and inspiring. There are diverse classes with beautiful music, ambiance and themes. Practicing at Namaste Yoga is part of my daily self-nurturing.

As a person new to yoga, wanting to change from "gym fitness" to more flexibility, core strength, balance and lessen some chronic back and shoulder issues that came from the old way of addressing my body, Namaste Yoga has been an amazing experience. Everyone is open, upbeat, no judgment at all about an absolute beginner. Love this place/space. Best decision I took too long to make.

power yoga makes you sweat. flow yoga makes you balance. I fall a lot. It's ok.
