Do not let the intimidating look of the Megaformer fool you - this workout is approachable and will whip you into shape!
I'm so grateful I found Core Society Fitness! I suffered a running injury that resulted in me needing spinal surgery a few years ago. Ever since, it has always been a challenge to find a workout that was high intensity and engaging enough to keep me interested, but low-impact enough to not further my back injury. Enter Lagree and specifically, Core Society Fitness!
I have been coming here consistently (3-5x/week) for about three months and have taken a variety of instructors - all are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly helpful in helping me make adjustments/modifications to protect my low back. This is the BEST my back has felt since before surgery! Every class is different and engaging, and week by week I find myself getting stronger which is a direct translation into less back pain and a much happier me!
The workouts are 45 min long with some cool-down and stretching at the end of each. The studio space gets great light, is extremely clean, welcoming, and no frills - mostly Megaformers, some great gear/swag, restrooms, water fountain, changing room, cubbies for your items, and my favorite - an espresso maker for an after-class treat!
This studio was my first introduction to the Lagree workout and I am completely hooked. The community that the owner, Emily, and the great staff has created is contagious and so welcoming. If you've never been on a Megaformer before - sign up for a class and get there a few minutes early to have the instructor show you the ropes - er, handles/bungees,etc. I cannot possibly recommend Core Society Fitness enough - check them out!
