Man this place was one of the best places I've ever trained. The staff was friendly and very understanding of what level I was at. They created the perfect challenge for my workout. I will definitely be training here weekly now.
I first started training to manage stress/anxiety from my corporate job. I hope this makes sense: Classes at CMT are both challenging and relaxing at the same time. I love Ra's teaching style: inclusive, precise and super funny. Directions on techniques are clear and individualized. He always push you when you're about to give up. But, the best part is the class trains your brain to relax, fully focus and control your emotions and thoughts. Better than any therapy or meds. Go try it!!!
CMT is a Muay Thai and Boxing gym for people who really love the sports. You will get lots of individual attention and can move up to more advanced lessons as your skills improve. Ra is a first-rate trainer with loads of experience. The gym also boasts a wide variety of equipment so you can have a fully well rounded fitness program, no need for an additional gym membership.
Been there for years. Ra, the owner/trainer is the man. Real gym.
Be warned, this place is kind of addicting. The main guy Ra will beat you into shape no matter your starting point. The fighting and fitness classes here really rebuilt my confidence.
Thanks CMT!
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced fighter CMT is the gym for you.
I did thorough research of the gym's in the area and tried out a trial class in 3 of them before I settled into CMT. I've had some bad experiences with bad gyms in the past so I wanted to make sure the place I choose this time will give me exactly what I need. My main criteria was the crowd that attends the gym and the quality of the coaches. Everyone that I talked to at CMT absolutely loved it and some have been members for many years. The groups were also small enough for coaches (Alex and Ra) to give everyone special attention correcting your technique. This attention was not compliments for the sake of giving compliments which was a huge turn-off in one of the other gyms. This was valuable advice unique to me from experienced fighters/trainers.
The gym hosts boxing, three different types of Muay Thai classes (fitness, tactical sparring & competitive), Brazillian Ju Jitsu classes, conditioning classes and has a well equipped weight lifting area too.
I've been there for 4 months now and just convinced my girlfriend to become a member too. Neither of us are planning to leave anytime soon.
