Clean gym with enough machines and benches to handle fairly high traffic. Only thing is there are not nearly enough sanitizing supplies (spray or wipes for machines/benches/treadmills) which is kinda gross. And also like 3 out of the ~5 water fountains do not actually dispense water.

Trying out this gym since it remodeled like a year ago. It has added a new floor and all the equipments are new. I tried their yoga classes and it was okay, depending on the instructor.
I wanted to try their sauna but it's weird that people wear all normal clothes with shoes in there. Usually I am used to just people with towels and no shoes. I wonder if they could keep it clean enough.
I like this LA fitness in Pasadena. Despite that you have to walk to the second floor for more machines, it is very clean and organized. People are conscious that there are others that are going to use the dumbells or the weights, so everyone put everything back in the racks.
The layout of this gym is different but you get used to it. Limited free weights but since I've only been here on weekends it wasn't that big an issue. Its also pretty clean and organized.

I like to visit this LA fitness. It is newly renovated and equipments are new. So that helps a lot.
One of my favorite gyms to go for a good workout. The facility recently upgraded and is better than ever.
The equipment area is decent newer than other locations. Ive been here 4 times coming here and the Locker room is disgusting every time. And luckily most people wipe the equipment other wise that wouldn't be clean either. They need better Management. I am seriously considering another gym after being with LA fitness 8yrs. All there gyms are always dirty.

Awesome gym especially after renovations. I really like the vibe, and the crowd. Minus one star because of parking, and the Matrix lat pulldown machines.
The staff at this gym are terrible. I was in town for a few weeks and i had a guest pass for 1 week. They of course walked me through the gym & i explained to them that i was not interested in joining the gym. They then began to call my phone consistently and lied and told me i scheduled a personal training session which i did not do. After i told the staff member i did not schedule a personal training session he continued to try and sell me on their services. They are extremely rude & they don't know when to stop. Every time I've gone there they only care if you become a member. I do not recommend this gym to anyone.They also have a bunch of extra fees. I know this because my partner signed up but then cancelled her account. They charge a maintenance fee every yr on top of the membership fee as well as the initial sign up fee. I've never been to a gym where everyone was so pushy in getting people to sign up. It's an awful experience.

Update 5.19.2018 Official Grand opening, since my original post. So the equipment is new and that's always a plus. The cleanliness is not so much a priority. Maybe they arent allowed to use sprays or liquid to clean the cardio machines but you can see the dust / dirt build up. And the 3 channels are ESPN CNN and ABC 7. No TV screens on the cardio machines like at Hastings Ranch location.
The light has to be ON in the sauna which I don't mind but staff seems to name it a big deal when it's off.
Other than that, all good.
I love coming here. They just renovated and it looks great. Plus even at peak hours it's not that busy. It's sure has changed for the better.
This place has come a long way. The new renovation makes this place feel like a totally new gym. They redid the smelly lockers so now it's all tiled flooring and clean. Workout equipment also all brand new. LA fitness did it's brand a favor and I just hope management takes care of the new gym and that this lasts.
The staff was nice but they really push you to sign up. The gym seem a bit claustrophobic overly crowded. The restrooms were also really dirty with tiles falling from the walls. I came here because according to my insurance it would pay half for it but that does not seem the case when you see the contract.
Parking is a little tricky the first time but you get use to it. Great location!
Plenty of cardio and the yoga is good-- could use more squat/bench workout space
The staff was very pushy when I signed up. He was telling me I had to sign up immediately or miss out on a "deal", even though there are always discounts on the full price. They also have a bunch of extra hidden fees. I was told they have towels, but it turns out it's an extra $10/mo to use them. I was told during signup I'd be able to use the racquetball courts at another gym with my membership, but it turns out it's an extra $10/mo to reserve courts - I can only do walk-ins. I wish they would have given me a list of all of these fees before I signed up.
The gym is a little dingy at the moment because it's going through some renovations. They say they'll have all new equipment in May 2018, so hopefully that turns out nicely.
There are only a couple pairs of each dumbell weight, so it's pretty hard to find anything between 15 and 30 lbs if there are other people using the weights. I told the front desk that they could use some more of these, but they didn't seem to take me seriously.
I did the free personal training assessment and really enjoyed it. The trainer was very thorough, gave me some good goals to work towards, and was open about the pricing and options. I would recommending using your free assessment if you sign up for the gym.
For most of January, this LA Fitness was supposed to be remodeled. Notification Signs had been posted for 3 months prior to their temporary closing in mid-January. Today, February 17th, is my first day back here working out and EVERYTHING IS EXACTLY THE SAME. The same dirty carpet. The same dated equipment. Almost all the equipment is in the exact same place as before. What an absolute sham.
Terrible customer service. Management is terrible.
if its your first time there, you may have trouble finding the entrance, its underground by parking lot. this la fitness is one of the older one that hasn't been remodel, most of the machines are older, they are planning to do a remodel this year. there are 3 levels, 1st floor is entrance and locker rooms, 2nd floor is fitness room, weight room, and cardio machines, 3rd level has cycling room and more cardio and weight machines. there is a small restroom on 3rd level.

I'm not trying to live there so I don't care if the bathrooms or Lockers work. A bunch of weirdos in there anyways.
The employee here lie to me and try to charge me more. I will never come back to LA fittness. I will go to any other gym instead of this one.
I've been a member at la fitness since Oct. 2015. Also being in the fitness profession I understand it quite well. I had a friend who is looking for a gym so he can get back competing. I am also gearing up for a show. I needed a guest pass for 1 day. They sat us down as if I were a new client new to fitness!! Absurd!! Then after I didn't want to answer there interrogative questioning. Became upset and said well " You can pay 15dollars for a VIP pass. 1 day pass for 15 dollars. I did it because I understand that this field is about people and helping them reach goals. Regardless of how one may feel or what prejudices one may have. This didn't surprise me as this gym is more of a social club than anything else. La Fitness Arcadia is a much better club. Rosemead in Hastings ranch as well. This lake ave club needs a moral overhaul. Thanks.
Cannot believe there is no shower and locker room open here. I have clean in the tiny restroom. Dirty and no paper towel available.
The head manager Ed is absolutely unprofessional. Comes in and stares at people from his office, in the dark! Who does that? Most unprofessional staff ever assembled. This staff are the Avengers of unprofessionalism. Trainers are simply atrocious. Some "trainers" don't even work there anymore and still train people without consequence. The only bright spot in the gym is the juice bar. That's the only place you'll find good service. Would not recommend this gym. I'd go to Planet Fitness in Compton before I'd step foot back in that gym.
