LA Fitnesses on Fremont is one the best facilities of the chain around the area. The location is fully equipped with weights and machines that compete with other chains that charge more. In addition it has a basketball court, racket ball courts, pool, juice bar and a kids club.
All in all you get good value for your money.
Downside is always busy during rush hours.
I wish I lived near this location. It's the largest and cleanest LA Fitness location I've seen. Esp considering the good maintenance and good ratio of people to equipment. I was here for dinner with friends and ended up in the area earlier than expected to did a quick efficient workout here. While busy was able to use all the equipment I needed. Didn't have time to jump in the pool but could see it was empty lanes, well maintained.
As much as I want to love this gym with the ample parking, and the fact it's clean...there are absolutely no cable machine equipment provided.
Nothing like rolling in and seeing people using a cable machine sans ropes or bars because there are none, or you're expecting to provide your own. Other LA Fitness's provide them
Only 4 stars because the parking is completely disorganized and the attendents are rude about it. However, I love the classes, and the space is really nice.
They dont care about customers. Dont live nothing in the locker room!!!! It will disappear and they dont do nothing to help you
Update: this gym was recently remodeled and looked great upon completion. HOWEVER!!! It is still under the same management that destroyed the gym prior to remodeling so needless to say, the gym is once again trashed. The management does NOT keep the place up. First thing in the morning there are weights scattered EVERYWHERE!! Nobody cleans, or picks anything up, members aren't incouraged to rerack weights other than useless paper signs hanging up. I wonder when headquarters will understand that in order to have a functioning establishment you need a functioning staff, which this barely has. Pour a bunch of money into the place and allow the same people who destroyed to do the same thing again. Absolutely absurd....

They also have a small store were you can buy certain blends of energy drinks and proteins, along with Organic and natural protein snacks like organic cookies and beef sticks. I've had nothing composite is so far and I'm open to keep that during the entire year of my stay, if you have somebody who wants to work on their body take them over here.

It's a nice gym. But only one star, because the hours on the weekend close at 8pm!?! Like seriously! And also No free WiFi! The LA fitness in Monterey park and Pasadena has free wifi! Alhambra location needs to get their sh** together.

LA fitness, typically has a great atmosphere and employees, but upon first calling this location my call was answered and I was hung up on. I called back immediately because I have been trying to cancel my membership for the past two weeks and every time I went to cancel my policy the manager had "just left the office" finally I was offered an email that I can contact in terms of canceling my membership. After 3 business days my policy is still active.

Great space but most people don't clean the machines after using! bring wipes! Employees are always standing around with nothing to do.
Nice gym, can get busy and take awhile waiting for equipment. Also if you plan to swim, you may be very disappointed. The swim lanes are often taken down and not replaced for months despite repeatedly requesting the manager get it fixed. Thus you are left trying to swim laps in an open pool where a half dozen people are walking around in the water. Very frustrating swim experience although only removed 1 star since most people probably won't swim laps.
It's a cool spot if you have time and patience. I would rather go to Pasadena. It's less crowded and there is a Kreation close by where I can get a high quality protein smoothie.
Could be a really nice and clean gym if certain people would show a bit of modesty and learn to pick up after themselves. I get grossed out in the sauna with people rubbing all kinds of scented oils on and leaving their paper towels. Also not very considerate to watch videos and shows with no head phones. Equipment ok though compared to other locations.
Would give it 5 stars if the yoga room were cleaned regularly and the sauna didn't smell like shoes (because people ignore all rules and wear sneakers into the sauna). The yoga studio doubles as a boxing studio (clever, isn't it). The boxing bags are hanging right against a mirrored wall and when boxers spray and spread their sweat all over the floor and mirrored wall they don't clean up after themselves. It is DISGUSTING! I started coming to yoga with my own disinfectant wipes. Other than that, nice gym...

Good gym; has all the equipment required for a for an overall workout. The equipment is good condition. Its large open plan gives it lots of light which prevents it form feeling depressing. Only down side is that it gets very crowded in the afternoon and clients can get quite aggressive
Worse customer experience Omario Flores was the worse salesperson ever. My understanding my insurance would pay for half of it but Flores made it too confusing and complicated I walk out. I headed to 24 Hour fitness where I was able to get a better deal. The elevator smell like pee, restroom were relay dirty with toilet paper everywhere.
The gym is overcrowded and poor equipment and facilities maintenance. The showers look janky, shower heads are rusted, locker rooms need better house keeping. Equipment is broken, parts missing and scavanged. It's hard to get a focused work out. LA Fitness, it would be nice if you would do something to improve the customer experience at this location.
I wish I could give this 3.5 stars. There are too many times where the equipment I want to use is out of order. There are a lot of people in the evening and on the weekends, so broken equipment doesn't help the situation. Some of the treadmills slip at higher speeds and body weight, so you have to be careful. I go here because it's convenient enough, but it's not fantastic.
I like coming to this gym, it's clean and there are staff cleaning the machines after use. The main downfall is The times I've been there, there are 2 or more treadmills not working. Usually fine for the late people, but during peak hours you have to keep constantly looking to try to reach one. Their classes are consistent and actually have a variety during the day and at hours people can arrive to righ after work. If you get there during the day remember to validate your parking ticket. If you get there in the later hours this is not a concern.
Good place. However, attachments for cable machines are always missing so look to invest in your own if you use them often
The place is ok if you go and handle your business and leave. Two hour free parking, one dollar after that per hour. Other than that, the mornings seem like a retired home place, old people take over the pool and get in the way of swimmers. Alot of lockers need fixing and at least need a person taking care of the locker area, my keys where taken from here. You see alot of old people not showering before using the sauna and pool, they should get strickter on those rules. Other than that you can have another star. I love this place and would hate to see it close. I don't know why they close early on the weekends, they should pay their workers to stay open longer, sometimes I wish I had a 24hr membership

This location carries good equipment. Different ones I rarely see in other gyms
Good thing I only use this gym for 3 months every winter when away from Chicago. Since I use the pool and the rowing machine my choice of gyms is limited. I have tolerated the fair to poor condition of the equipment and even the dirty locker room floors but today was the worst. None of the toilets had toilet paper and most of the toilet seat covers were used by the handful and then stuffed into the tampon container or just thrown on the floor plus the shower room floor was littered with clumps of hair. They really need to have a dedicated locker room staff to keep after the lowlife female members who inhabit this gym-shame on all of you ladies!!! I will probably not be back to this facility next year and that's too bad because the staff is,on the whole, very friendly
Their customer service in regard to their trainers can be better. However the receptionists at the front are nice.
To get signed in as a guest with 3-day Pass, i had to wait for 40 minutes. As a guest, i would expect someone to process a pass in 5 to 10 minutes because I might become a member eventually.
Clean location and machines are well maintained. Restroom and lockers are clean too.
I like this LA Fitness because it has many amenities. I also like that the equipment is fairly new and nothing seems run down. Definitely like this place.
Classes are stuffy, machines need maintenance, plenty of occurrences where items are stolen in the locker rooms, pool is constantly being fixed and closed off without notice, and employees are unhelpful.

Drive in the parking structure then have to get the validation for the parking. The gym is big 2 floors and a lot of exercise equipment. The roof has skylights it is cool.
Been here twice so far, but I like it. From what I've seen so far, it's clean and organized and it's pretty big. Weights are reracked for the most part. I imagine it can get pretty packed during peak hours, but still a nice place to work out. Parking is in a structure, free two hour parking with validation.
