Supportive community to get fit with. From the time I started as a novice I always felt welcomed and able - friendly and experienced coaches help tailor workouts to any fitness and skill level. I had 0 experience with CF before joining yet every class was challenging and doable.

CrossFit Altadena is a fantastic place to get fit while having fun. Coaches are friendly, knowledgeable, and conscientious of member limitations. They don't expect you to be able to perform muscle ups, strict push-ups and other difficult exercises, but they will help get you there gradually. If you have an old injury that flares up from time-to-time, the coaches will modify your workout to accommodate you.
They do not adhere to the in-your-face type of "encouragement," but they will push you enough to make sure you get the results you want.

Programming is varied and well-balanced. It is geared toward complete, overall, functional fitness. Entire class does the same workout of the day (WOD).

CrossFit Altadena does not lock you into a contract. Sign up on a month-to-month basis and if you have to quit, no problem/no penalty.

This is a great place run by great people. Get yourself in here and find out what it feels like to actually WANT to work out!
