My personal trainer Eric Edejong is very helpful, I've been working out with him for 6 month and I lost about 35 pounds and I am in the best body shape ever, he is also great sales consultant with great personality ... thank you Eric .

Never thought I would like going to the gym, let alone CrossFit, as much as this place has made me love it! Fantastic, supportive community, excellent and knowledgeable coaches, well priced, and stellar location with ample parking and a spacious set up inside. I have gotten measurably stronger and fitter in less than a year. They offer a variety of classes too, so you can do more than just traditional CrossFit programming. Highly recommend Ganbatte!

Where do I even start with how unique and amazing this place is. I've been an athlete my entire life and this has been hands down my favorite place to train. And you don't have to consider yourself an athlete to train here - if you're willing to show up and do the work and learn, you're already an athlete - all are welcome.

A few key things that set this gym apart:

Results: Ganbatte is unique in that no matter what you're individual goals are (crossfit, endurance, weight loss, nutrition, weight lifting, breaking plateau's) they are committed and engaged in helping you get there. Ganbatte is incredibly set apart in that the owner and coach, JP, offers endurance-based programming in addition to your standard crossfit workouts, so that no matter what your goals are, you can tackle them here.

Community: And speaking of results, I have never been a part of an athletic community where I've found so many friends who get so excited to see you succeed. It blows me away the number of times I've silently checked off a personal record in my head, and a friend has come over with a high 5 or hug because THEY knew I just accomplished something huge. It's such a sweet feeling and such an added bonus to an already great workout high.

Facility: Pheby and JP make a concerted effort to keep this place clean and it shows. There are 2 bathrooms and a nice shower...there are even toiletries available that make it extra generous. It's a good size to accommodate all of the equipment and large classes, but not so large that the classes lose their "group effort" vibe.

Hybrid Program: For an additional monthly fee, you can get sport-specific programming (5k, marathon, spartan race, even mountaineering, you name it). This includes a one-on-one goals discussion to dial everything in and daily programming which we call "extra work" to supplement your crossfit hour. If you're already a seasoned athlete its a great opportunity to step it up up and break plateaus. Or if you're just starting your crossfit journey it's setup for something manageable like a 5k.

In sum, personally speaking, this is my favorite hour of the day coming here and a true blessing. I've taken advantage of the hybrid program and have seen staggering results. I have never been so ultimately challenged and pushed. And have accomplished results I thought were completely out of my wheelhouse. After only a few weeks at the gym, JP had said to me, "It's your meditation, I get it." And they do, Come on in and get your sweat on! :) :)

Ganbatte has really changed me. As a tall, skinny nerd, I've always been too self-concious to stick to any kind of routine. Every other gym I've gone to hasn't made me feel welcome or invested in my improvement, but Ganbatte is different.

I've run the gamut of the Ganbatte offerings: I started in December 2017 with their bootcamp, which got me hooked. It inspired me to start doing Spartan races (I've done 2 this year, and am signed up for more), and showed me that I can measurably improve and become more fit. Next, I did their 6 Week Challenge, which was a great way to ease in to Crossfit movements. Having just finished that recently, I'm now signed on to continue as a Crossfitter.

I've felt that all of the trainers at Ganbatte have cared about me since Day 1, and I always look forward to taking a class there. Some people remember their first runner's high, or the feeling of winning their first competition. Ganbatte has given me a new feeling I'll be forever thankful for: positive self-esteem.

As a runner and (sometimes) triathlete, I was looking to incorporate more strength and cross training into my workouts and asked for some recommendations. Fellow endurance athletes all pointed me to Crossfit Ganbatte. My top two requirements were coaches that understand the needs of an endurance athlete and coaches that emphasize good form and safety over all else. Less important (but also kinda important) is an environment that isn't super "bro-y" (you know what I'm talking about). Crossfit Ganbatte checked all those off. Owner and coach JP is an Ironman and Boston qualifier and leads a weekly track workout. Coach Pheby is also a marathoner and leads weekly runs. Coach JP also works in the medical field, so his priority with all the coaches is to ensure everyone stays healthy and injury-free while getting an intense workout in. All the coaches break down movements in every class, even if everyone there knows what they're doing. The people are very friendly and encouraging, so the environment isn't intimidating. I'd recommend Ganbatte to anyone looking to try out Crossfit for the first time, as it's been a very positive experience for me.

Other things I like that are worth mentioning:
- They post all the workouts online the day before.
- They're all very active on the athletes' community page, posting photos and videos of our results and workouts (you can check your form!).
- There are lots of classes, so it allows me to be flexible with my schedule.
- DOGGIES! A few of the coaches and members sometimes bring their furry friends to hang out.
- Parking is readily available.

TIP: The building isn't very easy to find and there are several parking lot entrances close together that can make it confusing to figure out which one to enter. There is a large sandwich board-style sign out front with the Crossfit Ganbatte logo, so look for that. Once you pull into the parking lot, just keep going all the way through the alley to the back to reach building 4. Ganbatte is on your right.

You are not going to find another gym with as much character, support and encouragement than this place. The coaches here are great! As is the owner. The people that work out here are very welcoming and the vibe is fun and encouraging. I have been going here for 4 years now. I have tried other places over the years and nothing compares. This is the place if you want to get in shape and have fun.

My favorite workout place so far! Everyone here is so welcoming. More than the workouts, I love this place for the friendliness of the instructors. My favorite class: Gymnastics by Allison.

I'm new to CrossFit and on my second month. As a fat person, going to a gym can be scary, but CrossFit Ganbatte is very welcoming and supportive. There isn't any body-shaming and the members are nice and friendly.

When I walked into classes with coaches I hadn't met before, they were already prepped with my info, knew to expect me, and they were prepared to give me extra help since I'm new. The coaches are very focused on ensuring we have proper form and doing the movements safely.

Even though I'm a fat CrossFitter who can't do pull ups or handstand push ups, I'm still able to work on those skills since the coaches are great at teaching and scaling things to my level. When I'm struggling to finish a round, my super fit classmates (who already finished the WOD ages ago) will run with me to help. Even though I'm struggling and the slowest, I still feel like I'm kicking ass. The workouts are tough, but worth the work. I thought I hated exercise, but I look forward to going every day.

There are other boxes closer to my house, but Ganbatte is the best choice. In addition to having great people, they have a large space. You'll have lots of room to move. There's a parking lot and tons of free street parking too! I never have trouble finding a spot. They also offer yoga taught by a yogi who does CrossFit, so the stretches are tailored to our needs. I'm so happy I found this place!

I had the pleasure of belonging to this gym for a couple years before I moved to Pasadena. It is one of the two best CrossFit gyms out there.

One key thing to know is that if you're new to fitness or crossfit, you WILL NOT be just thrown into the fire. You will start in a separate intro class, where you'll be made totally comfortable and taken care of. From there you will progress at your own pace.

The owner, JP, is one of the most caring, friendly, and motivating coaches I've ever known. He is the real deal too, he's an athlete through and through and competes in triathlons, including Ironman races. He's busy as hell but he takes the time to connect with everyone.

The coaches JP develops come from within the community, and the community is an amazing, accepting group. They are family oriented.

The name Ganbatte means "Do your best." That's a great approach to life in general.

I own my own fitness business but if I lived in the area I would still be a Ganbatte member, and I love to go back and visit.

You have nothing to lose. If you're still reading this review, you should stop RIGHT NOW and contact Ganbatte, they will give you a couple free intro classes to get started.
