If I could give this place 0 stars I would; ended up with severe 2nd degree burns and then had to deal with rude staff. I went for a cryotherapy session which I have had dozens of at other locations; noticed a strange blister on my leg afterwards. I nicely contacted the management to let them know in case there was something wrong with the machine - I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. Instead of any apologies they accused me of not following proper safety guidelines, which I definitely did.
The blister got worse so I went to my doctor and he said I was lucky that I came in because I have a very large severe 2nd degree burn.
I then tried to reach out to the management to let them know the blister I received was indeed serious and now they will not respond to my emails.
Go anywhere else.

I like this place. I will agree sometimes the instructor does push you a little and for newbies, it may be too much. But for those who are experienced with yoga, its a good place.

This is a great studio. Very clean, excellent instructors. My favorite yoga instructor is Candice, she is always very enthusiastic and helpful. I have mastered a lot of the postures thanks to her. I try to go whenever she is teaching the class. Thank you so much, looking forward to the next class. :)

I signed up for classes at this Bikram studio in downtown LA and went for the first class on December 11th. It was a 9:30am class and the instructor was Nancy. I've taken classes at many different studios because I travel a bit for work and I have to admit, this was the most enjoyable Bikram yoga class I've ever taken. Nancy was extremely pleasant, helping everyone in the room with their postures, explaining as we went along from posture to posture without sounding like a robot that had been fed a script. She has a very pleasant voice and walks us through the postures with easy giving us the feeling of comfort which is not always the case with some of the other instructors I know. I can't wait to take another class with her.
Thanks Nancy for being so awesome and help me love Bikram even more!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about all of the instructors! They talk you through every single pose and educate you how it's helping your body. They push you to succeed--just like an instructor should. My experiences have always been positive, but be warned don't go if you are looking for a sloppy or breezy session. You will leave this place transformed and both mentally and physically.

I have been attending BYDTLA for several years now and have found it to be a wonderful place to practice yoga. It has been incredibly beneficial in so many ways. Chronic pain and injuries have either healed or vastly improved and, especially when I am consistent, I also lose weight and feel increased vitality. The teachers are caring and professional, as is the owner Stephanie, who is also a dedicated and excellent teacher. I can only speak to my own experience, of course. But in the many years I have attended, I have never ONCE had an instructor who just sits there and reads the script, as is written about in one of the reviews, nor have I seen inconsiderate or disrespectful behavior or attitude from the staff or instructors. Quite the opposite. Sure, I have certain teachers that I tend to prefer over others. But the instructors I have had class with are competent and professional. In the one case where I did actually have a bit of an issue with one of the instructors (who, by the way, was excellent and knowledgeable), Stephanie was very responsive and the situation was immediately addressed & resolved. I consider myself fortunate to be able to attend such a fine yoga studio.

I disagree with the reviews that said teachers do not help students in poses, allow you to drink water, or welcome new students. In my experience, and I have been going daily for 2 months, I'm constantly helped in poses and feel welcomed and relaxed in my practice. The instructors always let you drink water; it's only the first twenty minutes that they encourage you to wait until the water break, because you want to give your body a chance to warm up. I've never had a problem with this because I drink a liter ahead of class. Also, they do encourage you to stay in the room as a new student but they are typically kind and understanding if you really do need to leave the room because you're feeling overwhelmingly sick. They prefer you go to the bathroom before class and not be in and out, because it's distracting to other students and interrupts your own focus in the class. I find that some teachers who may not be as sympathetic, empathetic, and positive are the ones who are substituting-- for whatever reason. But the majority are very informative, open, and helpful both when you ask. If they see you're stumbling into a posture, they will always come and help you to correct your stance and give alternatives for those with back and knee injuries, pain, or general inflexibility.
