In the heart of downtown, the Ketchum Los Angeles YMCA is in a perfect location for the office and residential crowd in the area. It has lots of parking available downstairs with a huge and well-maintained gym. Considering the prices at neighboring gyms, the YMCA is a great option. And the proceeds go to help underprivileged kids and families in downtown Los Angeles.

I love this gym. It has the most wholesome vibes and people are always helping each other out in the weights rooms. I joined for the pool because it's beautiful. But I've stayed for the big windows overlooking LA, the nice people, the good equipment and the classes (especially joes power yoga). This is the first time I've joined a gym and actually go regularly.
Hidden gem of a gym. Great staff! Variety of weights and machines. Racquetball courts can be reserved in advance.
I love it. This is my favorite location they offer a wide range of free classes. Amenities include a large pool, a Jacuzzi, a steam room and a sauna. The locker rooms are always clean and the staff is always professional. Sometimes I go out of my way just to get to this location. The equipment is eclectic and there is a lot of space to move around.
First Day at the YMCA and IT WAS AMAZING!! Payment for Teen Adult is 24.99 per month (I went to check out the pool and the girls locker room was amazing beautiful big mirror with extentions to hair dyers and then a dyers for your wet clothes , changing rooms and lockers ) This place is everything i need to be de-stressed. People in the front are really amazing and sweet (Shout-out to Nancy!!) THE PICTUREZ BELOW WHERE THE BOTTOM PLACE WHERE STARBUCKS IS
I am visiting from out of town and the employees were beyond friendly and got me signed in quickly as a visiting member. The YMCA members who were working out were also friendly and inviting. The equipment seems old and the building could use a bit of a facelift, but they had a lot of equipment to use. The also had a nice basketball court and racquetball courts which were in great condition.

This is by far the best YMCA. The membership price is decent compared to other YMCAs, the equipments are clean and always up to date. There are two rooms for workout, one for machines and the other for free weights. I would say it's a paradise for someone who is a hardcore gymaholic. It also has treadmills and other cardio equipments on the second and third floor and an indoor running track on the third floor and a basketball/soccer court on the second floor. Did I mention they have a decent sized pool too? The only downside of working out here is you have to pay for parking but you can validate the ticket and pay $2 for up to 3 hours.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and up to date facility
Just an update. This particular YMCA has changed their towel service policy. You must now pay $10/mo for a fresh towel upon entering. Otherwise very nice services and lots of parking in the parking structure if you have a vehicle with low enough height clearance.
This is a great community gym located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The cardio and strength rooms are well equipped and they have a million dollar view of Los Angeles! The entire facilities including the steam, sauna, and locker rooms are super clean. The gym's monthly fee is reasonable. Also, this facility provides community teens with free services such as resume assistance, etc.
Friendly staff, fairly clean facilities, newish equipment (lifefitness, hammer strength). Only one power rack, plenty of benches and inclines for the arm work outers. Stretching areas leave a bit to be desired. Expansive locker rooms. $2 to park in the garage directly under the Y if you authenticate your ticket at the front desk of the Y. Side note, my wife has paid $0 if you authenticate your ticket right as you walk out of the gym.
