I had my first Yoga class here and I have to say that Toni created a safe place for a beginner like mystelf. He even sent me videos for specific Yoga exercises for athletes. I really enjoyed my time there.

A space to connect with yourself and maybe something deeper. Tony, Amanda, Leigh, Elizabeth and the gang at Yoga at the Raven are all masters who teach with honesty, humor and grace. There's something special brewing here and you'll feel it as soon as you pass through those wooden gates...

The only yoga studio I will go to. Tony G makes me want to go to class even on days that I don't want to. Everyone there makes you feel welcome from the manager, Amanda to the other teachers like Elizabeth. The Raven is like a second home to me and eventhough I moved and there are yoga studios closer to me, I still go the Raven because it's just that good.

This review is for Yoga At The Raven. Over the last year and 3 months, teachers Tony G, Leigh, Amanda and Liz have seriously transformed my physical, spiritual and mental health! When I first came to Yoga At The Raven I was a complete beginner. I quickly fell in love with the studio and the community and began attending as many as 4-5 classes a week. Since then I've had the opportunity to practice in a number of other studios, and I can definitely say that the Raven is really on a different level. The studio is full of light and the original hardwood floors, white stucco walls, high ceiling and beautiful details like the stained glass decor make you feel incredibly peaceful right when you walk in. Tony G's classes emphasize focus and precision, taking your time to slowly develop particular poses, with minute corrections, while focusing on breathing. His mid-levels classes are approachable for all students and his Practice Lab sessions deliver a challenging practice for those who enjoy inversions, arm balances and a somewhat faster pace. All of the teachers at the Raven really care about the students and make a point to get to know everyone personally. They will gladly take time before or after a class to talk to you about your practice. More than just a studio, Tony G has created a true community with Yoga At The Raven. It's a place where you will make friends and where you will be inspired to challenge yourself!

I have known Tony G, teacher and owner of Yoga at the Raven, and the manager of the studio, Amanda Hamm since 2008. For many reasons my life and fitness routine strayed from a steady yoga practice, but after experiencing a cervical spine injury that left me immobile for several months in 2014, I turned to yoga again to safely rebuild my strength and regain peace of mind amidst my crazy, busy life in LA. I'm so glad I went back to Yoga at the Raven. It's a beautiful space filled with amazing students and teachers. It always feels like home there, even if I don't know the name of each person practicing next to me. I just completed my MSP Yoga Teacher training with Tony at Yoga at the Raven, and I can't imagine a first training anywhere else. With great focus on foundation, alignment and biomechanics, Tony teaches us ~ students and instructors alike ~ to ground ourselves and root the mind, body, heart in class (and beyond) then to engage and expand to where we want to go. I'm very happy to continue my practice and studies there in classes and workshops. Love, love, love this place and all its people. Will always invite everyone to join classes here.

Love the classes here! Tony G is an inspiring teacher who has created a very cool studio in Silverlake. The studio is unpretentious and lots of fun.
