I cannot sing the praises of FLF enough. Everything from the trainers to all of the equipment is top notch.
Each trainer is genuinely interested in your fitness and want to see you reach your goals. I worked with Oscar for a month and he definitely pushed me to my limits which was what I needed since I am the type to stay in my comfort zone. They will ask you what your goals are, what you want to work on, and then create a customized work out for you. As you go through the work out, they are there watching you, fixing your form, and encouraging you the whole way. At the end of our sessions, I would leave with knowledge of new work outs and a sense of accomplishment which only got me more amped up for more physical challenges.
Everyone is incredibly considerate of each other here. Unlike big commercial gyms where you have to constantly check back for a machine or rack and people can care less that you've been waiting; if you're waiting on something (which is rare here), everyone (client or trainer) is more than willing to share or finish their work out ASAP for your turn. This is a smaller gym so a lot of personal connections are made which yields a very family type of vibe. Everyone helps each other out and always maintain positive attitudes. Nobody here judges and they only care for your desire to live a healthy lifestyle.
The gym itself is kept sparkling clean. I've noticed that everyone cleans and wipes whatever they used down. They also re-rack their weights and put the barbells away.
After my month with Oscar was up, I decided to join as an open gym member. You get to know all the trainers and they will notice if you haven't come in awhile. That accountability is EVERYTHING especially for someone like me who tends to get real lazy. Like I said, these guys care.
There's free parking behind the Staples store so you really have no excuse.
