I have been a member of Fitness SF for the past 2 years. Since I have been a member they have added a variety of classes. More yoga, and Zumba, and P90X Live. Locker rooms are always clean and stocked, friendly staff, great group class instructors, and motivating personal trainers.

I promised I would never go here nor purchase their membership is simply did not want to honor a 1-day free trial due to some technicality I find this gym no good or useful I've been a member for 5 plus years I've never had this sort of customer experience never go here very low quality gym

Stopped by and they said that I'm not allowed here, "this is a $60 a month lease". Oh wow that is the high society cluc ha?
I don't care how much money you guys are asking, for me crunch is crunch, and if I happened to stop by here I'll do my work out here or anywhere else. This is why I signed with crunch.. The least they could do is let me know there are places I do not have access to. My last lease with you falks, that is legit bs for real.

This place apparently is not part of the "crunch" family. It would be great if we were told before hand... they asked me to pay an additional 10$, not even worth 50 cents... nasty attitude at front desk. Apparently my last contract with this club called crunch

Love the classes offered, the childcare, and the machines available for use. Free parking is a bonus as well. I love that the products in the locker room make you feel like you're in a spa. Highly recommend it, it's a great value for the price.

YEAH BUDDY!!! I just joined Crunch Fitness after participating in a free one day trial and was immediately hooked after not having to fight to the death to use the gym equipment, which is good because most of the guys there are much bigger than me and would most definitely win,(JK no one's bigger than me.) Anyways if your reading this review it's because you want to know if it's worth the price if you join. I think so because the gym has unlimited free work out classes, is extremely clean well organized and has a vast assortment of equipment that allows for a very versatile workout. I know I've only been apart of this gym for one day but I'm extremely excited and I hope I never fall out of this ether. But if I do I'll be sure to update this review. Shout out to my guys Jason and Esteban for making me feel welcome. Grazie and ciao.

Gym of choice. I love this place its always clean and its filled with great people. The price may intimidate you a little but it is worth every penny. A++

The cleaning crew is incredible here. This gym is very clean!! The spin bikes get wiped down after every class, the women's locker room/bathroom/sink areas are constantly being refreshed and cleaned. The front desk staff is great. The gym mechanic is pretty efficient and keeps the machines and bikes in good working order. The only complaint I have is the gym mgr. She's not the brightest person. Nor is she patient and/or understanding to the member's issues. She doesn't take member's suggestions very well either. With a new gym mgr running this Crunch, it would be the best gym in Burbank.

Been a member since they opened. I love working out here. It's getting a bit crowded during peak hours, and I wish they had more of the most used free weight equipment, but what can you do. Clean facility, well maintained equipment, friendly staff, and mostly friendly members make for a good experience.

The only complaint is the membership fee. I get that one flat rate which provides all-inclusive access so you can attend any classes is a huge benefit for many, but I don't have any interest in the classes so feel like I'm paying more than I should have to. Would be better if they offered a reduced price for members that just want access to the equipment. On the flip side the higher cost probably keeps membership headcount lower but impossible to know. As the fee keeps going up each year it may get to the point where I look elsewhere to get a membership that feels more cost-effective for my needs.

This has been my gym for several years now. Even though it's a bit far from me, I chose it. I looked for quality and this was it. However, I never expected to be targeted by a head manager(trainer). The fifth time(of 4 occurences), I was approached by this individual in such an aggressive and hostile(with foul language) manner, I was completely shocked. This all stemmed from moving a wipe dispenser about 9 inches away. Yeah... Members move entire machines, at our gym. I made a complaint to the front desk, followed up by an official email, but nothing was done. I'm not sure why any professional business with such following would ever permit this behavior from it's employees? I would think it would be unacceptable(but it's obviously not). Following this vile and definitely unexpected incident, this revolting and poor excuse of a human, prances around the gym like nothing. To think that I experienced this negative instance at a gym, where you come to de-stress... I still gave it a 2 star only because I care dearly for the members and it's my gym. I always opted out of going to an LA Fitness/ 24 Hour Fitness, etc to avoid any filth like this, and well I came across it. Faithfully, things will have a positive turn around soon. I Also hope that in the near future Crunch begins to show their appreciation/solidity to their members and stops tolerating incompetent and unprofessional employees.

I've been a member of Crunch Burbank since it opened 5 or 6 years ago. Understandably there are many gyms to choose from in Southern California and at some point or another I've worked out at all of them. I can honestly say however,  with 100% conviction, that none of them even come close to this Crunch, and this is ENTIRELY because of the amazing staff! In particular I'd like to specifically express my immense gratitude to Kayla Truffa, who is absolutely the best personal trainer I've ever had the fortune of training with. A little over 2 years ago, I nearly lost my struggle with Ulcerative Colitis. I had plummeted from a muscular 220lbs down to 145 as I was suffering from extreme internal bleeding and stomach pains. My diet consisted of jell-o and soup as anything else felt like shards of glass in my stomach. Medications weren't helping, biologics weren't helping, iron infusions and blood transfusions weren't helping (I had become severely anemic) and I was even on a form of chemotherapy, which wasn't helping. I ended up requiring emergency life-saving surgery to remove my large intestine and 2 more subsequent surgeries for abdominal reconstruction. It was a long, rough road of recovery and every day the challenges seemed overwhelming. I just kept trying to push forward though, taking each day at a time. Each step at a time, no matter how small. Slowly but surely, things began to improve. Eventually I became so anxious to start exercising again and was consistently motivated by the great team and staff at Crunch Burbank. Jon always does a fantastic job of bringing in the most experienced and knowledgeable trainers that are out there! This goes especially for my trainer Kayla Truffa. I wanted to start working with her because I found out that she had an extensive background in Behavioral Health, Dietary Nutrition and unique digestive issues. In addition, I had already witnessed her own workout sessions in the gym and was just in awe of her discipline, form and work ethic. I had never partnered with a trainer before (admittedly because of fear, pride and stubborness) but she truly inspired me to seek out her assistance in the hope that she could help motivate me as well as push me outside my comfort zone in areas that I felt needed work. Since I began training with her, I have noticed an uncanny evolution in what I was capable of accomplishing in my workouts, and gains that I never thought would be possible again. I cannot praise her enough and felt compelled to leave this feedback as I know there are many out there that could and should benefit (as I have) from her incredible skills, patience, understanding, unfathomable depth of knowledge and quite simply her amazing personality. These are all traits valuable enough on their own, but when collected together in one person, that individual becomes a treasure that any organization, gym or client should be grateful to have and learn from. If you've ever considered working with a personal trainer, please take to heart my feedback and do yourself a favor in seeking out Kayla Truffa. I believe there are great things in her future and I guarantee you'll be thankful you did! Bahut shukriyaa, Kayla!

I just walked in. Brought their membership and told I can go to any gym with my membership plan and Was told to pay more to come to this one.

I love this gym! Lots of fun workout classes, the equipment is never crowded, the staff is super friendly. Extremely clean as well.

Great gym. The best in Burbank. It just needs new barbells. Many of them are currently bent

October 18, 2017 12:01

This is the best gym in the area, hands down. It's very clean, spacious, and rarely too crowded. The staff are all very friendly as are the clientele who workout there. No one is there to stare at you while you workout like at other gyms... (24... cough cough) and it definitely has a positive family feel going on. They have a dry sauna, showers and big lockers available. They also offer free Bliss shower products. This place rocks!

Conveniently located. Staff is mostly friendly, but not super attentive. Equipment selection is decent, but lacks adequate free weight options (one power rack, for example).

At least you don't freak out when you forget your phone by one of the machines

October 18, 2017 12:01

Just purchased crunch's most expensive membership plan and was promised "you can go to any Crunch nationwide". When I walked I to this one, I was told I wasn't allowed in unless I paid even more.
